Qantas Airways has relaunched and expanded its promotion to earn double points or double status credits on eligible flights, but you have to book by September 2, 2026. This offer has a very narrow booking window, but the rewards can really stack up. Here are the details and the eligible flights.

Qantas Promotion for 2X Status Credits or 2X Points

Qantas Frequent Flyer members have a great promotion this week, though with a very short booking window. Qantas had a similar promotion last year, but only for a few selected routes. For a limited time, you can earn double status credits or double Qantas points on all Qantas-operated flights with a QF flight number.

First, register for this promotion online or in the latest version of the Qantas app. After registering, book an eligible flight by September 2, 2026. Eligible travel dates are between September 3, 2026, and August 14, 2027.

You must choose between receiving double Qantas points or double status credits on your flight. You can change your choice before or after you book, as long as you lock it in by September 2, 2026.

You can pay for your flight with cash or flight credits. As long as you book the flight during the eligible booking window, it's eligible for this offer. If you're strapped for cash, you can even use the Book Now, Pay Later feature. Book by September 2 and pay by the advised payment due date, and you will still earn the applicable bonus on your flight.

There is no limit to how many flights you can book or how many bonuses you can earn.

Codeshare flights operated by other airlines such as Jetstar, Emirates, and American Airlines, as well as codeshare flights from other airlines operated by Qantas, are not eligible.

Our Take

This is a great promotion for Qantas Frequent Flyer members, but keep in mind the very short booking window. Thankfully, the eligible travel period is nearly an entire year. And if you can't front the money for the flights now, you can always use the Book Now, Pay Later feature.

Just make sure to complete your booking by September 2, 2026. Thereafter, you have a full year to complete your travels.
