If you've been looking for an easy way to grow your Rapid Rewards balance by flying, listen up. Southwest Airlines just launched a new offer for double bonus points, but you'll need to act fast since the ultra-short booking window is about to close.
Here’s what to know about this promotion and how to register.
Earn 2X Bonus Points on Southwest Flights Through July 1
It’s been a while since we’ve seen a Southwest Airlines promotion offering bonus points. And even though a new one just launched, it won’t be around for long.
This new offer awards double Rapid Rewards points when you register and book qualifying flights by April 12, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CT, then complete your travels by July 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CT.

For this offer, a qualifying flight is a “one-way revenue flight on Southwest Airlines from an origin city to a destination city, including any intermediate stops and or connections, or a round-trip revenue flight on Southwest Airlines from an origin city to a destination city and back to the originating airport or carrier-recognized co-terminal.”
You’ll earn double points on the base fare, excluding taxes and fees. That means twice the standard earnings rates:
- Choice Extra: 14X points per dollar (28X total)
- Choice Preferred: 10X points per dollar (20X total)
- Choice: 6X points per dollar (12X total)
- Basic: 2X points per dollar (4X total)
Per the terms and conditions, there’s no maximum number of bonus points you can earn from this promotion, so you can book multiple flights after registering to maximize your earnings.
