Marriott Gold and Platinum Status Challenge

Marriott has announced a status match challenge; very similar to the Starwood status challenge from last year. This time around the match requires 8 or 16 stays, which is lower than the 9 or 18 stays needed for the SPG challenge. Unfortunately, there is no link to the offer, and you will have to call up to register.

Amex Membership Rewards Transfers To Marriott Rewards

You can now transfer American Express Membership Rewards to Marriott Rewards. Points transfer at the same 1:1 ratio as they do to Marriott Rewards. The addition was to be expected as Starwood was a long-term partner of Amex, and as the programs merged it made sense to add Marriott.
