Norwegian Air was nearly one of the casualties of the COVID-19 pandemic. But, as a banner outside its headquarters proclaims, "we're back". Although the route network isn't what it used to be, Norwegian is resuming flights and its Norwegian Rewards loyalty program. However, there are new limitations to how you can use your CashPoints.

You would normally associate free Wi-Fi on board with Premium cabins on legacy carriers, but all that is about to change, since Norwegian have announced that they will be introducing free Wi-Fi on board for all passengers regardless of their class of service.

Norwegian Targets Africa and the Far East

Norwegian has announced that it has its eyes firmly set on expanding its routes into Asia and Africa. This comes on the heels of Norwegian expanding its route network to the US twice over the last couple of months. The company’s CEO confirmed to the UK’s Telegraph that the company is seriously considering expanding its route to Africa and Asia, and while there is no current concrete plans the company is definitely looking to head further afield in its bid to revolutionize budget-long-haul travel.

Norwegian Expands its US Route Network Again (April 2017 Edition)

Norwegian announced new routes from Denver/DEN and Seattle/SEA to London Gatwick/LGW. The Seattle route is scheduled to start on September 17, 2017. The Denver-Gatwick route is scheduled for September 16, 2017, with a twice-weekly service for the summer season on Tuesdays and Saturdays. During the winter the company plans a 3-flight a week service which will start on November 2, 2017.
