Thrifty Traveler has announced a price increase for its Premium+ subscription taking effect April 1, 2025. The cost of a new Premium+ subscription — which includes both airline and hotel alerts — will rise from $124.99 to $149.99 per year. However, you can still sign up today to lock in the current lower rate for life.
What's Included in Thrifty Traveler Premium+
Premium+ bundles Thrifty Traveler's well-known flight deal alerts — including Instant Alerts by text message for drop-everything-and-book deals — and its newer Hotel Alerts service. This Hotel Alerts service highlights award availability and discounted paid rates across Hyatt, Hilton, Marriott, and IHG.
Thrifty Traveler launched Hotel Alerts last year, and the service has already surfaced some impressive finds. Examples include:
- Alila Ventana Big Sur at 40,000 Hyatt points per night
- Andaz Tokyo Toranomon Hills at 25,000 Hyatt points per night
- Calala Island, an all-inclusive private island in the Caribbean, at 150,000 Hilton points per night
- Availability at high-end all-inclusives like Hermitage Bay (Hilton), Secrets Maroma Beach (Hyatt), and others
Almost all alerts are points-based. However, just the other day, Thrifty Traveler alerted subscribers to an excellent deal: $152 per night for an overwater villa in the Maldives!

New Thrifty Traveler Premium+ Pricing
Thrifty Traveler will grandfather anyone who signs up before April 1 at current pricing. That includes:
- Premium+ for $124.99/year
- Add Hotel Alerts to flight deal-only members for $24.99/year
After April 1, the full Premium+ package will cost $149.99/year and the buy up from a flight deal-only membership will increase to $50. A flight-only Thrifty Traveler Premium subscription will remain at $99.99 per year.
Final Thoughts
At AwardWallet, we’ve found Thrifty Traveler Premium to be worth the price — particularly for travelers who want to book flights or hotels with points but don’t have time to constantly search for deals. It fills a useful niche for travelers who want alerts delivered to their inbox and are ready to book when something great pops up.
If this sounds good to know, now's the time to sign up for Thrifty Traveler before the price increase and lock in lower pricing for life.
