When you're approved for the card, you can earn 20,000 bonus points when you spend $1,000 in eligible purchases within the first 90 days of account opening. That's a $200 value redeemable towards merchandise, gift cards, cash back, travel and more.

That's not as generous as the large sign-up bonuses found on AwardWallet's list of best rewards credit card offers. Still, this is a solid bonus when comparing the Altitude Go to other no annual fee cards.

Other U.S. Bank Altitude® Go Visa Signature® Card Benefits

The U.S. Bank Altitude® Go Visa Signature® Card also offers many valuable benefits for cardholders to utilize along their points-earning journey.

Streaming Bonus

Get a $15 credit for annual streaming service purchases like Netflix, Apple TV+, Spotify®, and more. This benefit is a nice touch, but shouldn't be the difference maker when selecting the best credit card for you.

The list of eligible service providers include the following:

Amazon Music, Amazon Prime Video, Apple Music, Apple TV+, Audible, DirecTV Stream, Discovery+, Disney+, ESPN+, Fubo TV, HBO Max, Hulu, iHeart, LiveOne, Luminary, MLB TV, NBA League Pass, Netflix, NHL Live, Pandora, Paramount+, Peacock, Showtime, SiriusXM, Slacker Radio, Sling TV, Spotify, Starz, Stitcher, Tidal, Vudu, YouTube Music, YouTube Premium and YouTube TV.

You can score an easy $15 credit towards one of many streaming services with the U.S. Bank Altitude® GO Visa Signature® Card.

However, this statement credit isn't something you can use on a one-month basis. You'll earn a $15 statement credit after billing 11 consecutive calendar months of eligible streaming service purchases to your Altitude Go. Your account must be in good standing (open and able to use) to earn this credit.

0% Intro APR

The Altitude Go offers a 0% Intro APR on purchases for 12 billing cycles. Plus, new cardholders will get 0% Intro APR on balance transfers for 12 billing cycles. Just note that you'll need to pay a balance transfer fee: Either 3% of the amount of each transfer or $5 minimum, whichever is greater.

Still, this is a great way to avoid interest charges on purchases and revolving credit card debt on another card.

No Annual Fee or Foreign Transaction Fee

Although the Altitude Go charges a $0 annual fee, cardholders still won't incur foreign transaction fees for purchases made outside the U.S. These two features make the card great for consumers who want to be budget-conscious and also travel outside the U.S.

U.S. Bank Altitude® Go Visa Signature® Card Redemption Options

Once you earn enough rewards, redeeming them is the fun part. With U.S. Bank, you can redeem your rewards in the bank's Rewards & Access Card Benefits section.

With this card, you'll be able to redeem rewards for the following:

  • Statement credit / Cashback — redeemed in the form of a statement credit or a deposit made to your U.S. Bank checking or savings account (2,500-point minimum redemption)
  • Merchandise
  • Gift cards
  • Travel options

Additionally, you redeem your cash back rewards in real-time with U.S. Bank's Real-Time Rewards. Once you enroll in the feature, you will receive a text in real-time to your phone when you make purchases in your selected categories. The text will ask you if you want to redeem your cash back to cover your purchase. If you text back saying “REDEEM”, you'll receive a statement credit equaling the amount of your purchase.

There are more options in the U.S. Bank rewards portal as well. And the best part of earning U.S. Bank rewards is that you don't have to fuss with estimated valuation. U.S. Bank points are worth one cent per point, regardless of how you redeem them. Moreover, points don't expire as long as the account is open and in good standing.

Application Restrictions

U.S. Bank doesn't have a restriction on how many cards you can have with the bank. Instead, U.S. Bank only restricts how much credit line it will extend to each person.

However, there have been reports online that those with an established U.S. Bank relationship (i.e. having a checking account) have had an easier time getting approved for a credit card.

Final Thoughts

The U.S. Bank Altitude® Go Visa Signature® Card is a great option for someone to earn rewards without the stress of transferring points or shifting values of credit card rewards.

Plus, the 0% Intro APR on purchases makes it great for someone who is looking for spending flexibility for upcoming purchases. And the 0% Intro APR on balance transfers makes it an ideal card for consolidating credit card debt.
