Lyft Credits for World Elite Mastercard Holders
If you have a World Elite Mastercard, you can get benefits on top of those offered by the individual card issuer. One of these benefits is that you can get a $5 credit when you take three Lyft rides in a calendar month. No registration is needed. All you have to do is pay for them with your World Elite Mastercard.
The IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card, Citi Strata Premier® Card (Rates & Fees), and JetBlue Plus Card are three examples of World Elite Mastercard products. And, obviously, there are many more!

Earn Points and Miles Through Lyft Partnerships
Lyft has partnerships with a growing number of travel partners. Currently, you can choose between earning Hilton Honors points, Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards points, or Bilt Rewards Points on Lyft rides. This is in addition to the credit card rewards or cash back you'll accrue from paying for your Lyft ride.
To take advantage of this, you will need to link your loyalty account to your Lyft account. Once you do, you can earn the following points and miles on Lyft rides:
- Hilton Honors: 3X points per dollar on economy, luxury, and extra-seat rides, or 2X points on shared rides
- Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards: 2X points per dollar on everyday rides and 3X points on airport and elevated rides
- Bilt Rewards: 2X Points per dollar on Lyft rides
To illustrate how lucrative this can be, you could pay for your ride with the Sapphire Reserve to earn 5X total Ultimate Rewards points, then stack that with Hilton Honors, Alaska, or Bilt Points from your linked account. It’s the best of both worlds.
Bottom Line
Depending on what credit cards are in your wallet, you could earn handsomely on Lyft rides or enjoy other perks like priority pickups and waived cancellation fees. While some of these bonus earnings and bonus perks are temporary, others have no end date, and you can take advantage of them at any time.

Incorrect or out-of-date information. BILT Rewards Palladium Mastercard is 4X, not 2X. BILT Rewards Mastercard also has $10 monthly credit using BILT Cash. I assume you recycled the 2024 article and changed the date without updating the information.
Hi Michael, if you select Bilt as your primary Lyft earning partner, you’ll earn 2x points, no matter which card you use — Bilt or otherwise. You’re correct that the Palladium could earn 4x on Lyft, but that’s a factor of its 2x on everyday spend + 2x from Bilt being your Lyft earning partner.
As we mentioned in the article, the “2X Points per dollar on Lyft rides” comes “in addition to the credit card rewards or cash back you’ll accrue from paying for your Lyft ride.”
I have taken Lyft rides in the past month but nothing is showing up on my credit card statements.
Please advise me about what I need to do to get the 5% payback.
Thank you.
Susan Pogash
Hi Susan, which payment method are you using in your Lyft account? Have you checked the rewards portal for that card, where you see your earnings listed?
