If you have either a Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card or Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express Card, you have a up-to-$10 rideshare credit each month. The catch is that it resets every month, so if you don't use it, you lose it.
Since it tops out at $120 back per year, it's an easy way to help offset either card's annual fee. Here's how to actually use it each month to make sure the credit doesn't drive off without you.
Both of Delta's American Express Reserve credit cards, the Delta Reserve and the Business Delta Reserve, come with the same $10 monthly rideshare credit, and the concept is pretty simple. If you use your credit card to pay for an eligible rideshare service each month, you'll get a $10 credit right off the top.
Enrollment is required, so be sure to register your card before you use it to pay for a ride.
The main downside is that credits don't accumulate. Each month they reset, so if you don't use it in January and February, you won't have a $30 credit in March — you just lose the $20 from the months prior.

While it may seem like using the credit for Uber Eats instead of Uber would trigger the credit, the terms and conditions are very clear. Only these four apps are eligible:
- Uber
- Lyft
- Curb
- Alto
You can order certain services through Uber like car rentals, grocery delivery, and package delivery, but there is a very real chance those purchases won't qualify. You also can't use these credits for bike services like Bird or Lime. In practice, the credit is most reliable when used for what these apps were designed for: rides.

Using the Delta Reserve rideshare credit is truly straightforward and not complicated at all.
- Enroll your card in the benefit — this is a one-time step.
- Add an eligible Delta Reserve or Business Delta Reserve as your payment method in the rideshare app, or make sure it's in your mobile wallet.
- Make sure it's selected as the active payment method for the ride that you're using.
- Take a ride.
As someone who has multiple cards and multiple payment methods in my app, the hardest part is remembering not to use my Uber gift cards or one of my other credit cards that I'm looking to apply a credit toward.
How to Tell if the Credit Actually Worked (and When It Posts)
The best way to make sure that the credit actually posts is to check your statement. I've noticed that it sometimes takes a few days for the credit to show up, even though the terms and conditions say that it could take up to six to eight weeks. I've never seen any credit take more than five to six days at most.

Here you can see that the charge came through on April 13, and the credit is shown as posting on the same day. Don't be fooled into thinking that the credit appeared at the same time. It definitely took a few days while the charge was pending, but it backdated to the date of service.

In this case, I made two purchases using the card directly tied to Uber (direct charge, not Apple Pay), and the credit applied all at once.
The easiest way to make sure you don't lose it is to get into the habit of using it each month. I set up a reminder every 25th day of the month just to make sure and double check to see if I haven't missed it. If I don't have an instance where I'm going to need a rideshare, there is one workaround that can trigger the credit.
As of the time of writing, it is still possible to add money to your Lyft Cash account. If you are in a pinch, this will trigger the $10 rideshare credit, but the loophole could close any time. I can confirm from personal experience that it does not work for adding Uber Cash — but at least I got $25 more in Uber Cash from the test.
While this article is all about the Delta Reserve Amex cards, it should be noted that the same $10-per-month, or $120-per-year, credit is available on these cards as well:
- Delta SkyMiles® Gold American Express Card
- Delta SkyMiles® Gold Business American Express Card
- Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card
- Delta SkyMiles® Platinum Business American Express Card
Enrollment is required for select Amex benefits.
I also have both of those Platinum-branded cards, so it's easy for me to snag a quick $40 each month by using all four of my $10 credits.

Bottom Line
The Delta Reserve rideshare credit is easy to use but it's also very easy to forget about and let slide. If you're already taking at least one rideshare each month, there's no reason not to save $10 on that expense. If you're not, offer to pick up the tab for a friend.
Alternatively, you can try using the Lyft workaround to add some Lyft cash to your account for those times when you end up taking a more expensive ride to the airport. Either way, a quick reminder toward the end of the month can be the difference between wiping out a good portion of the card's hefty annual fee.
