This buy points promotion has ended; see current buy points promotions.

Need to top off your Radisson Rewards balance? Through June 11, 2025, you can buy points with a 50% bonus, bringing the cost down to just 0.393¢ each. That’s about as cheap as Radisson sells them, though whether it’s worth it depends on your travel plans and what other alternatives you have.

Here are the details on the latest buy Radisson points promotion.

Buy Radisson Points Key Terms

Buying the maximum number of points (250,000 plus 125,000 bonus points) would cost $1,475, working out to just 0.393¢ per point — a rate that looks good on paper. But Radisson redemptions are no longer known for delivering value worth writing home about.

You’ll likely find better value by exploring redemptions through other hotel programs and comparing the cost of paying cash versus buying points to book. Here's our full roundup of all current buy points promotions, including offers from some of the best hotel loyalty programs.

Radisson Utilizes a Dynamic Pricing Model

Radisson uses dynamic pricing, which means nightly award rates fluctuate based on the cash price of a room. This can lead to steep point costs during peak travel times, such as holidays, making it tough to get value that justifies buying points. On the plus side, rooms are usually available to book with points, even when cash prices are high.

You might find decent deals during slower travel periods, but it’s much harder to score the kind of outsized value that other programs occasionally offer.

While many programs now use dynamic pricing, you’ll often find better value elsewhere. If you’re looking to save on a hotel stay, it’s worth comparing all your options — including what points you already have and which currencies are on sale — before committing to a Radisson Rewards points purchase.

Radisson Buy Points History

Radisson runs buy points promotions fairly often. However, we’ve generally advised against purchasing Radisson points unless you have a specific and immediate use in mind. That’s largely because the program underwent a major devaluation shortly after a lucrative buy points promotion ended in October 2022.

Still, there may be cases where it makes sense. Here’s a look at the types of promotions Radisson has offered in the past:

Do Radisson Points Expire?

Yes, Radisson Rewards points expire after 24 months of inactivity, and your points might disappear without warning if there’s no earning or redeeming activity in that timeframe. Even worse, Radisson’s terms state they may cancel points at any time without notice.

If you’ve been sitting on points for a while, this promotion could be a good opportunity to top off your account and finally put your balance to use before it expires.

Maximize Your Purchase

Radisson sells points via Points.com, so your purchase won't code as a “hotel” or “travel payment” for the sake of a credit card spending category. Consider using one of these cards for your purchase:

Final Thoughts

We at AwardWallet never recommend buying points or miles speculatively. That’s especially true for Radisson Rewards, which underwent a major devaluation in October 2022. This significantly reduced the value of its points and the program's overall appeal.

This promotion to buy Radisson points with a 50% bonus brings the cost down to 0.393¢ per point, which is on the cheaper end of what we've seen. Still, outsized value is hard to come by in this program. If you’re looking to boost your balance for a specific redemption or want to use points before they expire, this offer could make sense. If so, you have until June 11, 2025, to take advantage of it.

You should mention this is when buying through the Americas program (https://www.radissonhotelsamericas.com). The links in your article are for the global Radisson site. If you go through the global\rest of world site, the promotion is not available.

  • Isaac W. says:

What European capital is that seaplane departing from? $450.00 per person is a little uppity.
But I guess with that income the pilots are not concerned with miles and points?

  • Adalberto Diel says:

    Interesting
Can I use this point at UK?

  • bulstrode says:

Nicely good for me, preparing to go to London for Xmas – Radisson Blu Victoria is my preferred hotel and I only hope I’ll can travel

  • Silvia says:

0.35 cents for Radisson Hotel Points is an excellent offer, what a big deal

  • Kevin says:

I’d suggest getting their credit card before buying points, assuming one doesn’t already have it. The annual bonus of 40K points, on top of the SUB, is much more cost-effective.

  • Jon B says:

Don’t really like to buy points at all. Earn only.

  • BW says:

Can’t imaging Radisson Hotel Niagara Falls-Grand Island is only a category 1 hotel. Definitely a sweet spot too good to pass.

  • John says:

That is an amazing deal. I wish I saw this before the deadline though. Currently the price is $492/night which still does not seem bad for what you are getting. Hopefully the points buying offer for this hotel happens again. I’ll be watching out for it.

  • RJ says:

This place sure does look amazing. while I’m not traveling for pleasure yet, I have this on my bucket list. this is an interesting way to achieve this, someday.

  • Tina says:

We are still under travel restrictions at the moment. How flexible are these bookings? Especially if we need to cancel because of the pandemic?

    • JT Genter says:

In the example I highlighted in the post, there’s free cancellation more than 2 weeks in advance. That’s not great, but at least you have some flexibility. The bigger “issue” is that you’ll only get refunded in points. So, you’ll still be out the cash you paid for the points.

  • Mikey says:

Interesting deal….Radisson has some solid properties in Europe as well that may make this worth a speculative purchase if you’re planning on heading back to the Continent once all the travel restrictions ease.

  • Sofia Guerrero says:

wow, great opportunity! I wish I could go, I hope we could travel again as pre-covid!!

  • Paul says:

Would a Marriott Gold member receive complimentary breakfast here?

  • José Antonio Zapata Eguizabal says:

Por ese precio si que es una buena opción a tener en cuenta el alquilar un villa de lujo como estas en las Maldivas. Gran oferta

  • Nate says:

How far out can you get the 70,000 point bonus? I would love to take a trip here once the pandemic is over. I’m a bit hesitant to purchase points if there is a chance the trip would get cancelled, though.

  • jeecha says:

This does look like an incredible deal! I had somehow totally missed the fact there are Radisson properties in Maldives! Some good use for all those points some day in the future 🙂

  • Guillermo West says:

Great option for travel to the Maldives! This place is usually very expensive. In this opportunity we can travel for an acceptable price. Whit this pandemic restricts the food service is permitted as usually?

    • JT Genter says:

The recent reviews of the property make it seem that food service is still available and even flexible. But, it can’t hurt to reach out to the property to confirm before you book.

  • Kevin says:

“However, availability is currently tough to find.” Hmm, are they restricting availability or are lots of people traveling to the Maldives in this environment to get away from it all?

  • arshi007 says:

Does anyone know how good the property is ? How does it compare to the Hilton and Marriott properties ?

  • Andrew says:

For $245 I would consider this when I normally never stay at hotels!

  • Rosario says:

    Very good offer.
Especially for the resort mentioned in the article.
Maybe there are other good opportunites in other places.

  • Peter O. says:

I’ve always dreamed of bringing my wife to an over-the-water bungalow like this, whether it be in the Maldives, Bali, Tahiti, or anywhere. Travel restrictions have made that even further down the line.

  • Maria says:

Wow, this looks like an amazing deal! Do similar offers/promos occur often? I’m hesitant to travel during the pandemic but hope to be able to jump on a deal like this in the future.

  • MC says:

Even though, I still think this isn’t a good time to travel, I believe this is a great opportunity. I was reviewing the Resort and it’s just amazing. It’s worth the risk. A change of environment is very beneficial to temporary scape from this madness

  • MATT WARD says:

What’s the best way to check availability for these rooms? I can’t find a way other than trying different combinations of specific check in and check out dates. I’m hoping there’s a more efficient way to do this….

    Thx, Matt

    • JT Genter says:

Unfortunately, that’s what Radisson is making us resort to in order to find availability. It’s not very user friendly!

  • dharmesj says:

Any deals on Bali? I am really wanting to go there.

  • Jennifer says:

This is a n outsized reward for points. However all hotels in Maldives are very expensive and the meals you take there are also expensive.

  • Agi says:

Such a pity the deadline has now passed, it was such a great promotion!

  • Juan Ignacio says:

I’ve already booked a hotel in French Polynesia, wish they do the same in FP.

  • Pablo Quilis says:

This is a great deal. I hope I can go there once in my life.

  • Chandler says:

Compared to how much overwater bungalows normally cost this is amazing – my wife and I wish we could have done this for our honeymoon!

  • Froide says:

Beautiful venue + attractive deal…if I weren’t refraining from non-essential travel during the pandemic.

  • Manuel says:

Thanks for sharing. It’s a solid offer no doubt. I agree they should extend the expiration beyond December 20,

  • Charles says:

Wow, the Radisson Group even has properties in exotic destinations!

    • Thomas says:

@Charles – Yes, Radisson does have a handful of true aspirational properties. When visiting the Maldives, I dearly love the Conrad, but this new Radisson is definitely on my list to visit very soon.

  • Ofer says:

I really want to go there…

  • Ed says:

I would love to go to the Maldives. However I will not be buying any Radisson points at this time. Staying close to home until there’s a vaccine for COVID-19.

  • Maryjane says:

How nice to know there is a Radisson with overwater villas in the Maldives! I have a new contract which a Radisson will be a convenient hotel so I won’t be buying any points at this time, but hopefully they will have more promotions like this for the future.

  • mtd says:

Great tips! Wish I could do all in on this but not looking to travel but this is tempting.

  • Steven William Van Meter says:

I’ve been looking for a good deal and this promotion is a good opportunity. I’ll be looking into this one a lot more. Thank you

  • Ashley says:

This is a great deal but buying points in hopes of doing this makes me nervous…will have to think about this deal though because it is awesome…

  • Florencia says:

Maldives! It´s my dream! I wish can do.

  • Tim says:

One of the better, lesser known programs. Have had some great redemptions in Europe.

  • Val says:

Great tips for stacking points & offers!
