This transfer bonus is no longer available. Here's our full list of current transfer bonuses.

Etihad is back with another bonus for transferring points into miles. Now through June 15, 2026, you can get up to a 40% transfer bonus when converting points from various programs to Etihad Guest. For the majority of travelers, the most relevant programs are Accor Live Limitless and World of Hyatt.

This deal won't be for everyone but don't ignore this deal just because you don't plan to travel to (or through) the Middle East. Many uses of Etihad Guest miles don't involve flying in or through the Middle East. (But, if you do, take advantage of the Etihad stopover program.)

Up to 40% Etihad Transfer Bonus Promotion

Through June 15, 2026, Etihad is offering up to a 40% bonus when transferring points from several hotel and bank programs. Many of the banks participating in this promotion are located in the United Arab Emirates.

However, some transfer options are relevant for U.S. readers: World of Hyatt and Accor Hotels.

  • Hyatt: World of Hyatt points transfer to Etihad miles at a 2.5 to 1 ratio in multiples of 5,000 points. This transfer bonus gives you a ratio of up to 1.4 Etihad miles per 2.5 Hyatt points transferred.
  • Accor Hotels: Points typically transfer at a rate of 4,000 Rewards points to 2,000 Etihad Guest miles. With this promotion, you'll get up to 2,800 miles per 4,000 points.

The transfer bonus percentage depends on how many miles you transfer:

  • Up to 9,999 miles transferred will receive a 10% bonus on each transfer.
  • 10,000 to 49,999 miles transferred will receive a 20% bonus on each transfer.
  • 50,000+ miles transferred will receive a 40% bonus on each transfer.

How to Use Etihad Guest Miles

You can redeem Etihad Guest miles on dozens of Etihad's partners. For instance, you can redeem 6,000 Etihad Guest miles to book a partner flight up to 500 miles in distance, including many American Airlines flights and numerous other partner flights around the world.

Etihad Guest Expiration Policy

Etihad Guest miles expire after 18 months of no qualifying activity for Bronze, Silver, and Gold members. Per the Etihad Etihad FAQs page, Etihad Guest Bronze, Silver, and Gold members' miles are valid for 18 months plus an additional 18 months with an eligible miles transaction. However, your miles never expire if you are an Etihad Guest Platinum member.

Thankfully, Etihad Guest members have a variety of ways to extend the validity of their mileage balance. This includes when you earn, spend, buy miles, or transfer points into Etihad Guest.

U.S.-based members can transfer points to Etihad Guest to reset their miles' expiration:

Our Take

This promotion is especially valuable for travelers who know how to take advantage of the Etihad Guest program. If you've found a good use, you'll need to decide whether your points are more valuable in your Accor or Hyatt account — or redeemed through Etihad Guest. Either way, we are happy to see the return of this transfer bonus to give travelers the option.

  • Sam says:

Hi! Can someone please confirm whether the 40% transfer bonus for Etihad is in fact active for Capital One for March 2025?

Joe’s comment below is from October 2022 which is why I wanted to clarify/confirm. Thank you.

  • Joe says:

Capital one is removed. I guess they exercised “the right to withdraw or cancel the promotion or modify or alter the terms and conditions of such promotion at any time.” Here is the current transferred partner for this promo now: “Eligible partners ( ADCB Touch Points, Emirates Islamic Bank, Emirates ENBD, Citibank UAE, FAB Rewards, Air Miles, ADNOC, Joud Al Hilal, HSBC, SHARE points, Hyundai Card, Hana Bank, KTC, Inbursa, Standard Chartered, Ping An, CIMB, Kbank)”

  • Manuel jorge martins filho says:

Parece ser uma promoção incrível , vou aproveitar. Sempre4 é atrativo usar a executivas ou primeira classe

  • Maryjane says:

I would love to try Etihad business or first class sometime but i won’t be transferring any hotel points until I have a definite flight in mind. Especially Marriott points since they are so flexible. But if I do transfer points, it is always nice when there is a transfer bonus.

  • Timothy says:

I love the bonvoy… so is this 1.5:1 or 2:1 conversion?

  • Frank says:

So the normal points would post right away? But we’ll need to wait until end of promotion for the 50% bonus?

    • Erik Paquet says:

Per the T&C, they are actually giving themselves “up to 10 working days” from the end for the promotion. However, I’d guess they will post much faster. I’d suggest doing a small test transfer to see how long the bonus takes to post.

  • AJ says:

Have not flown Etihad Airlines, will need to check out their partners to see if this makes sene.

  • STEPHEN says:

So it sounds like American Express Membership awards, which IS a transfer partner of Etihad – has not been included in this offer?
And can the ANA, Brussels, and Royal Air Maroc redemptions mentioned be redeemed on Etihad’s website, or do all Etihad partner redemptions still have to be done through call center?
    Thank you,

  • Jon B says:

Don’t have a desire to have any Etihad points. Won’t use them.

  • Peter says:

Is this a good deal? Thanks.

    • Chris says:

It depends , maybe if you are not flying Etihad and you want to use ANA like they mentioned in the blogpost. But if you want to fly Etihad i doubt it at the moment , they are about not to fly their A380 anymore and I guess their first-class will also disappear in the near future .

  • Peter O. says:

So if 2 to 1.5 transfer ratio is correct for Accor, 60,000 points transfer to 45,000 miles? is my math correct?

  • ramon says:

is it a good deal, for such transfairs?

  • angelo fonseca says:

These premium companies almost never make offers with bonuses, not least because they are differentiated in the market. So it’s time to take advantage …

  • Paul says:

Is this a good deal for Marriott points to Etihad?

  • Andrew says:

Still waiting on Chase to do similar things and offer big point transfers awards like this!

  • AJ says:

Have never flown Etihad, would be curious what it’s like.
