Capital One Launches Transfers to Copa ConnectMiles
Two months ago, your only way to get a large number of Copa ConnectMiles ahead of an upcoming redemption was to buy them or transfer
Then, in September, Rove introduced transfers to Copa ConnectMiles, making it the first transferable point currency to partner with the Panama-based airline at a 1:1 ratio. Shortly after, in October,
Starting November 2, 2026, Capital One has officially added Copa ConnectMiles as its 23rd transfer partner. Copa award flights are more accessible than ever, which is a good thing considering it offers a valuable award chart.
Unfortunately, the transfer ratio isn't quite as good as the other partners. Your Capital One miles will transfer to Copa Airlines at a 2:1.5 ratio, which means every 1,000 miles you transfer will convert to 750 Copa ConnectMiles.
Capital One Miles to Copa ConnectMiles 30% Transfer Bonus Key Terms
- Receive a 30% bonus when you transfer Capital One miles to Copa ConnectMiles through 11:59 p.m. ET on December 1, 2026.
- With the bonus, 1,000 Capital One miles convert to 975 Copa ConnectMiles.
- Transfers must be in increments of 100 miles with a minimum transfer of 1,000 miles.

Best Uses of Copa ConnectMiles
As a Star Alliance member, Copa Airlines offers connectivity to more than 1,250 destinations across 193 countries through the alliance's global network. Copa Airlines also offers an impressive network throughout the Americas, making it a worthwhile program to consider when taking your next vacation.
Award charts
Copa uses a zone-based award chart, with both saver and standard awards. As the names would suggest, saver awards are more affordable but have limited availability, and standard awards are widely available but cost more.
You can find saver awards on flights operated by Copa Airlines, Copa Airlines Colombia, any Star Alliance carrier, and other partner airlines, including Azul, Gol, Emirates, and KLM. Standard awards are available on flights operated by Copa Airlines, Copa Airlines Colombia, and United.
Although Star Alliance partners should follow the award charts below, the charts only cover regions within the Americas. As such, if you plan to book flights outside of these regions, you might need to do some digging to figure out how many miles you'll need.

Thanks to the transfer bonus, you can almost get a 1:1 transfer ratio (1,000 Capital One miles equals 975 Copa ConnectMiles). That means you could book lie-flat business class seats between North America and South America for just 71,800 Capital One miles each way.
However, keep in mind that both Citi and Rove transfer at a 1:1 ratio, even without a transfer bonus. If you earn either currency, it may be worth saving your Capital One miles for other partners.
Copa ConnectMiles Expiration Policy
Copa ConnectMiles expire after 24 months of inactivity. Considering that Capital One miles do not expire as long as your account remains open, you should only transfer miles — regardless of a transfer bonus — if you know you will use them.
Other Ongoing Transfer Bonuses
Many transfer bonuses are happening this month. If you need to transfer your points and miles, now is a good time to do so:
Bottom Line
Capital One has officially added Copa ConnectMiles as a transfer partner. To celebrate the launch, you can transfer your Capital One miles to Copa with a 30% bonus through December 1, 2026. That means that for every 1,000 Capital One miles you transfer, you'll get 975 Copa ConnectMiles, which can unlock great redemptions on both Copa and Star Alliance partner flights.
