It's been an exciting month for Rove users. Last week, Rove introduced a new mobile app and announced a huge expansion, including an overhauled hotel platform, dining rewards, and instant-earning gift cards.

If you thought that would be all we'd hear from Rove for a little bit, you'd be wrong. Starting today, you can transfer Rove Miles at a 1:1 ratio to Copa Airlines ConnectMiles — marking Rove's 21st transfer partner. And for a limited time, you can take advantage of a 40% transfer bonus to celebrate.

Here's everything to know about Rove's newest transfer partner.

Rove Adds Transfers to Copa Airlines ConnectMiles

As of September 1, 2026, Rove's 21st transfer partner is live. You can transfer Rove Miles to Copa Airlines ConnectMiles at a 1:1 ratio. Rove is the first major transferable point currency to partner with Copa at a 1:1 ratio. Until now, your only option was to transfer Marriott Bonvoy® points at a 3:1 ratio — which often isn't a very good deal.

Through September 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EST, you can also access a 40% bonus on transfers from Rove to ConnectMiles. In other words, you'll receive 1,400 ConnectMiles for every 1,000 Rove Miles you transfer. Be sure to check current Rove transfer bonuses before converting your miles.

Copa connectivity

Copa offers great connectivity to more than 80 destinations throughout North America, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. Plus, as a Star Alliance member, you can access award redemptions for partner airlines like United, Air Canada, or Singapore Airlines, so ConnectMiles can actually be very valuable.

Screenshot of FlightConnections.com

Copa uses a zone-based award chart for its own flights. It offers two different types of awards: saver and standard. As you can probably guess, saver awards are more affordable but offer limited availability. Standard awards have greater availability but cost more.

You can book saver awards on flights operated by Copa Airlines and Copa Airlines Colombia, as well as any Star Alliance carrier. Meanwhile, you can book standard awards on Copa Airlines, Copa Airlines Colombia, and United. Star Alliance partners should follow the same award charts we share below, but the charts list only regions within the Americas.

Meanwhile, the regions listed here include the entire world. So, if you plan to book United-operated flights to Europe through Copa Airlines, you might need to do a search or two to get an idea of pricing.

Wingo redemptions

You can also use Copa ConnectMiles on Wingo-operated flights. If you're unfamiliar, Wingo is a Bogota-based low-cost carrier. Here's how you can use your miles:

  • Redeem 5,000 miles, get a 100,000 COP voucher (~$32)
  • Redeem 10,000 miles, get a 260,000 COP voucher (~$82)
  • Redeem 15,000 miles, get a 460,000 COP voucher (~$146)

For this redemption method, you'll need to contact the Copa call center, and it'll take one to three business days to receive your voucher. However, this is likely not the best use of your miles.

Copa sweet spots

If you need some inspiration as to how you can use your miles, here are a handful of Copa sweet spots, courtesy of Rove:

  • U.S. to Dubai in Emirates business class from 80,000 miles (or 57,200 Rove Miles with a 40% transfer bonus)
  • San Francisco to New York in United Polaris from 25,000 miles (17,900)
  • U.S. to Central America, Caribbean, and South America in economy from 15,000 miles (10,800)
  • Lie-flat intra-South America business class for 40,000 miles (28,600)
  • U.S. to Europe in business class from 90,000 miles (65,000)

Copa Airlines offers great access to United Airlines award space, and it doesn't tack on any surcharges — even for premium carriers known for surcharges like Lufthansa, Swiss, ANA, or Emirates.

Tip of The Day
Did you know that you have a personal referral link in your AwardWallet profile? If you invite people to AwardWallet using your referral link, you will receive an AwardWallet upgrade coupon for every five members you invite. Also, if these users upgrade to AwardWallet Plus, we will credit your AwardWallet account with AwardWallet Bonus points, which can be redeemed for points and miles in your program of choice. We spend roughly 50% of the revenue we receive from those referrals to purchase those miles for you. All of this can be tracked via the Invite to AwardWallet widget in the left navigation bar on your Accounts page.
