Rove has been one of the most exciting new developments in the travel industry, and it only continues to get better. Rove has just announced its 18th transfer partner, and it's one we all know and love: Air Canada Aeroplan. It's no secret that Aeroplan is one of our favorite loyalty programs, thanks to its dozens of airline partners and the opportunity to book high-value award redemptions.

Here's everything to know about the new partnership between Rove and Aeroplan.

Rove Launches Transfers to Air Canada Aeroplan

As a refresher, you can earn Rove miles on shopping and travel purchases. There are several things that make Rove stand apart from other shopping or travel portals — the sheer number of miles you can earn, the ease of accessing redemptions, live award searches directly on the platform, loyalty-eligible bookings, and much more. You can book a hotel to earn 28 Rove miles per $1 spent, then transfer those miles at a 1:1 ratio to more than a dozen different airline partners.

And now, you can transfer your Rove miles to Air Canada Aeroplan at a 1:1 ratio.

What to know about the Aeroplan award chart

If you weren't already familiar, Air Canada uses a distance-based award chart for its own flights and flights operated by partner airlines. Unfortunately, Air Canada and select partners, such as United, use dynamic pricing — the award chart lists a “starting at” value, but the actual award cost can be much higher. Other partners use a fixed value, so award flights will cost the same number of points, regardless of demand or seasonality.

This new partnership between Air Canada and Rove comes at the perfect time. Air Canada is set to modify the Aeroplan award chart on June 1, 2026. It's not all bad news, as some distance bands in select zones are either staying the same or decreasing in cost. However, other routes, like business class flights between 4,001 and 6,000 miles, are becoming more expensive.

For instance, the Air Canada flight from Toronto (YYZ) to Athens (ATH) is about 5,048 miles. Today, you can book that award starting at 70,000 Aeroplan points. After June 1, it'll cost at least 75,000 points.

Tip of The Day
You can choose to store all of your loyalty account passwords locally on your device, instead of storing them in our secure database. If you choose this option, you can (and should) periodically back them up into a file. In the event that you delete your cookies, these passwords will be deleted. With a proper backup, you'd be able to safely restore from that backup file.
