A little over a year ago, we reported on a leaked document indicating that American Express planned to open a brand-new Centurion Lounge® at Boston Logan International Airport in the next couple of years. We finally have confirmation that a Centurion Lounge in Boston is in the works, but it looks a little different than what we expected.
Here's what we know about the Amex Centurion Lounge Boston and what you might be able to expect when you walk through the doors.
Amex to Open a Brand-New Centurion Lounge in Boston in 2029
American Express just signed a lease to open a new Centurion Lounge in Boston, set to open in 2029. That's right — you're still three years away from being able to enjoy The Centurion cocktail in Boston. However, good things take time.
The Boston Centurion Lounge will be one of the largest in the Centurion Lounge network. It will feature an outdoor terrace, artwork by local artists, and design elements that incorporate Boston's character and charm. If you want to get away from the stuffy terminal on a layover, an outdoor space overlooking the tarmac is a great way to recharge.
The two-story lounge in Terminal C will offer dedicated workstations, premium food and beverage options, multiple seating areas, and more. Unfortunately, that's all we know about the new Boston Centurion Lounge. American Express is being very hush-hush about the project.

However, if the leaks we saw last year are true, the lounge should be roughly 20,000 square feet and will be located near gate C10, close to Chase's Sapphire Lounge and the JetBlue lounge that's slated to open later this year. It might even have an outdoor bar. However, take this information with a grain of salt — the leaks also indicated that the lounge would open in 2027, which is far from reality.

How to Access Amex Centurion Lounges
It's too early to tell if Amex's Centurion Lounge access policies will change once the Boston location opens. But for now, here's a quick run-down of how to get into a Centurion Lounge:
- You need to carry a Platinum-branded Amex card, such as the American Express Platinum Card® or The Business Platinum Card® from American Express to access Centurion Lounges.
- Those with the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card or the Delta SkyMiles® Reserve Business American Express Card flying on a same-day Delta ticket (booked with your Card) are eligible to enter Centurion Lounges.
- If you want to bring a guest, you will need to pay $50 per adult and $30 per child (from ages 2 to 17) at the door. However, those who spend $75,000 annually on their eligible card will receive complimentary lounge access for up to two guests.
- Amex does not sell one-time day passes at the door.

Final Thoughts
American Express — like seemingly almost every other card issuer — is in the process of expanding its airport lounge network. Within the last year, new Centurion Lounges opened in Salt Lake City (SLC), Tokyo Haneda (HND), and New Delhi (DEL), as well as a Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge in Las Vegas (LAS).
Locations in Newark (EWR) and Amsterdam (AMS) are scheduled to open later this year, and a new Sidecar location is in the works in Charlotte (CLT). Another Centurion outpost in Boston will be an excellent addition, but you'll need to wait until 2029 to enjoy it.
More details about the Boston Amex Centurion Lounge are likely to be released in the near future. When they are, we'll update this post to reflect the most accurate information.
