If you missed the boat on getting an Uber voucher when buying a Delta gift card, you now have a new chance to get rewarded for your purchase — though not with Uber. Through February 16, 2026, you can earn 2X bonus miles when you buy a Delta gift card of $200 or more.

Buy a $200+ Delta Gift Card, Earn 2X Bonus Miles

  • There’s no stated limit on how many times you can take advantage of the offer.

Our Take

There are a couple of reasons why you might consider buying a Delta gift card now. The obvious one is the bonus SkyMiles; it’s an easy way to squeeze a little more value out of a $200+ purchase. Another is if you’re actively working to earn Delta Medallion status this year.

Even though you won’t earn bonus Medallion Qualification Dollars (MQDs) on the purchase of a Delta gift card directly, you will if you pay with a Delta credit card that earns bonus MQDs per $10 or $20 spent. It’s an easy way to generate a bit of extra spending to kickstart your Medallion earnings.

  • 3X miles per dollar spent on eligible purchases made directly with Delta
  • 3X miles per dollar spent on eligible purchases with hotels
  • 1.5x miles on eligible purchases over $5,000 (up to 50,000 bonus miles annually)

But if you’re not chasing MQDs, remember that Delta processes its gift card sales directly. That means gift card purchases should be coded as airfare. So, you could earn up to 5X miles or points on the purchase, depending on which credit card you use. See our list of the best credit cards for travel purchases for ideas.

  • Deb says:

There wasn’t anywhere to enter my skymiles number. How will I get credited for the purchase?

    • Tyler Glatt says:

Hi Deb, there should be a box to enter your SkyMiles number on the “Checkout” page. It’s on the right-hand side of the screen opposite the card details if you’re opening the link from a laptop/desktop.

      • Deb says:

So if I completed the purchase without seeing that, I’m out of luck?

        • Tyler Glatt says:

Hi Deb, you might have luck reaching out to customer service to see if they can help you out, but if you made a purchase without entering your SkyMiles number, you might be out of luck. Please let us know either way!

  • Ed says:

Delta is my last choice for miles bonuses. So hard to get good value out of them, international long haul are often 300k point range.

  • zev korf says:

will a 200$ gift card count as an incidental purchase that qualifies for the amex platinum credit?

  • Andrea Fernandez says:

I think this offer it´s good,,,but the world situation makes me feel unsure about the purchase

  • Mnsotn says:

Thanks. Just before I am about to book a Delta flight. One question, if using the Platinum, will this also trigger the remainder of a person’s $200 yearly airfare credit (with Delta the chosen airline)?

  • LAWRENCE says:

It’s an ok promotion but there are probably better ways to maximize value and/or reward/point earnings.

    • Lancelot says:

This deal is a no-brainer if you know you’re going to be paying for an upcoming flight. But if you’re buying speculatively, I would not recommend anyone do that.

  • Ignacio says:

Just in time for Holiday shopping

  • Tod Mell says:

I like the bonus. However, I have been hesitant investing in the Delta Skymiles program because I feel that the mile have devaluated a lot. Still a good deal if you are buying a gift anyway or flying soon.

  • Paul says:

Nice promo, I am impressed with Delta throughout the past 20 months

  • Kevin says:

A good deal becomes very good because they don’t use points.com. I wish more airlines would follow suit.

  • Charles says:

What is the maximum purchase amount?

    • Ryan Smith says:

There’s a maximum of $10k in one order when I just tried to add a ton to my cart. There’s nothing in the terms saying that you can’t buy again after 1 transaction, but I don’t know anyone who’s ever tried, so no data to report on whether you can buy again after that $10k.

  • AJ says:

Thank you. Perfect timing. I had a couple of credit cards that I was looking for options to meet spending requirement for bonus. This is a wonderful opportunity.

  • Lucy says:

If I use the purchased gift card to pay for a flight, will I also get Delta points for this?
