Stay Vancouver Hotels just relaunched its popular prepaid Mastercard promo, offering travelers up to C$250 (~US$178) back when booking at least a two-night hotel stay through March 31, 2026.

With 43 participating hotels, including top brands like Hilton, Hyatt, and Marriott, this promo can slash the cost of your stay by 50% or more. Unlike third-party bookings, you should still earn hotel loyalty points — making this an even better deal.

Here's how to maximize this offer before its all scooped up.

Stay Vancouver Hotels C$250 Mastercard Promotion

Stay Vancouver Hotels brought back its excellent gift card promotion for travelers. Book a two-night stay at select hotels in Vancouver, Canada, using promo code PrepaidCard, and get a Mastercard valued up to C$250 (~$178). Eligible stay dates are between November 15 and March 31, 2026.

However, this version of the promotion has one big difference from previous iterations; you used to be able to cancel your booking up to 48 hours before your stay. Now, bookings with the PrepaidCard promo code are non-cancellable and non-refundable unless the rate you book specifies otherwise.

There are 43 hotels in the downtown Vancouver area participating in this offer. The selection includes many major brands, such as Hilton, Hyatt, and Marriott.

Better yet, you should still earn hotel points on these stays. Unlike other third-party booking sites, Stay Vancouver books your stay directly with the hotel. Thus, if you give your loyalty number at check-in, you should get rewards points credited to your account.

Depending on the property, you might see the following Mastercard gift card options:

  • C$150 (~$107)
  • C$200 (~$142)
  • C$225 (~$160)
  • C$250 (~$178)

Hotel rates range from C$150 to C$500 per night for a two-night stay, plus taxes and fees. Even though you won't end up with a “free” stay, you're still getting a great reward just by visiting Vancouver.

You will receive the Mastercard at check-in, which means you can potentially use it to offset the cost of the hotel. When settling the final bill, you will pay for your stay with this card.

Hotel choices

Depending on when you stay and which hotel you choose, you could potentially get a two-night stay for a lot less than the rack rate.

For instance, a two-night stay at The DOUGLAS, Autograph Collection starting on March 16 is as low as C$393 per night before taxes and fees, and it offers a C$250 (~$178) Mastercard. With the Mastercard applied, the total cost of the stay drops to C$686 ($488) after taxes.

On the budget side of things, a two-night stay at Sandman Hotel Vancouver Downtown for the same dates is as low as C$449 with taxes and fees, and offers a C$150 (~$107) Mastercard. Applying the Mastercard to your stay brings the total down to C$299 (~$212 USD). That's over 30% off your stay!

Our Take

This is a fantastic promotion for our readers to get hotel stays in Vancouver, Canada, at a huge discount through March 31, 2025. Just as hotels in Las Vegas practically give away rooms to attract gamblers, this is a great marketing move by Stay Vancouver to attract visitors to the city. The cost of stays in Vancouver continues to increase, so these savings are a huge benefit.

Depending on how you plan your trip, you could potentially stay for a week while getting every other night nearly for free — assuming you're willing to move hotels every couple nights. Of course, these gift cards are limited to two-night stays, so the idea is to entice you to Vancouver to spend more. That's certainly not a bad idea, considering how beautiful and fun Vancouver is.

As there is a limited number of gift cards available, you'll want to book your hotel stay soon. Then again, this promotion is continually renewed, so if you miss your chance, check back in a few months.
