Here's what to know about JetBlue's 2027 TrueBlue and Mosaic updates.
JetBlue TrueBlue: What's Changing in 2027?
Last week, JetBlue released its “On the horizon for 2027” breakdown, telling JetBlue TrueBlue travelers absolutely everything they can expect from the program next year. Starting February 1, 2027, you'll notice a few key changes:
- Perks You Pick is no longer one-and-done. Every time you unlock a new milestone reward, you can choose a perk that you've picked before or try something new.
- Changes to Perks You Pick and Mosaic Signature Perks. The Perks You Pick menu has been completely overhauled. You'll choose from new options, while some of your favorites may have been removed or devalued.
- Complimentary BlueFirst upgrades. Mosaic members and JetBlue Premier Card holders (when you use your card to purchase your ticket) can receive complimentary upgrades to BlueFirst when a seat is available.
Here's a closer look at some of these changes.
Perks You Pick
To earn JetBlue Mosaic status, you need to earn Tiles. The first tier of elite status, Mosaic 1, requires 50 tiles. However, you can earn a milestone bonus — Perks You Pick — for every 10 tiles you earn on your path to elite status, up to four times (40 tiles).
Starting February 1, 2027, your options, and how you use them, are changing:
- New: 2-Tile Bonus.
- Devalued: 1,000-point bonus (down from 5,000-point bonus)
- Devalued: Early Boarding, Alcoholic Drink, and Priority Security passes are now one-time use (previously applied to all flights starting the day you selected the benefit)
- Removed: Earn 2X points on your next JetBlue Vacations booking (you can still select and use this perk through January 31, 2027)
Another negative change is that JetBlue is imposing a time limit on selecting your milestone. Starting February 1, 2027, once you reach a milestone, you will have 60 days to select your option. If you don't select one, it will expire. This rule doesn't apply to any milestones earned through January 31, 2027. Once you select your option, you can use it anytime.
However, you can now pick the same perk at every milestone if you wish. Previously, you could choose a perk only once, and at the next milestone, you had to choose a different option.

Mosaic perks
Once you reach Mosaic status, your benefits are changing. The most notable change is complimentary upgrades to BlueFirst, which we discuss more below.
As a Mosaic member, you get both Mosaic Signature Perks and additional Perks You Pick selections. Your signature perks are largely staying the same, except there are two new additions:
- Pet Fee Waiver at Mosaic 2: Once you reach Mosaic 2, your pet can come along at no charge. This used to be a Perk You Pick.
- 5X total points at grocery stores and restaurants: Eligible JetBlue Premier Card holders with Mosaic 3 or 4 status will earn a total of 5X TrueBlue points per $1 on eligible purchases at restaurants and grocery stores on up to $50,000 in combined purchases per calendar year.
Just like for TrueBlue members, Perks You Pick for Mosaic members are getting some pretty major devaluations:
- Changed: Point bonus. Now a 10,000-point bonus for Mosaic 1 and 2 members, a 20,000-point bonus for Mosaic 3 members, and a 30,000-point bonus for Mosaic 4 members (previously a 15,000-point bonus for all)
- Devalued: Tile bonus. Now a 10-Tile bonus for Mosaic 1 and 2 members and a 20-Tile bonus for Mosaic 3 members (previously a 20-Tile bonus for all)
- New: Tile Bonus Headstart. Mosaic 1 and 2 members can select a 10-Tile headstart for the following program year, Mosaic 3 members can choose a 20-Tile headstart, and Mosaic 4 members can choose a 30-Tile headstart.
- New: One BlueHouse Pass
- New: One Premium Upgrade Certificate (starting at Mosaic 2)
- New: Gift Mosaic 3 status to another member (exclusive for Mosaic 4)
- New: Gift one year of BlueHouse to another member (exclusive for Mosaic 4)
- New: JetBlue Premier Card exclusive selections, including a gift of a 10-tile bonus to another member (previously available to all Mosaic members and was a 20-tile bonus), gift Mosaic 1 or 2 status to another member (for Mosaic 2 and 3 members, respectively), companion pass as a statement credit (up to $500 for Mosaic 3 and up to $1,500 for Mosaic 4. These cover eligible base fares, not taxes and fees).
- Removed: Mint Suite Priority
- Removed: $99 statement credit with select JetBlue
credit cards - Removed: FoundersCard membership
- Removed:
Platinum Elite statusIHG One Rewards - Removed: Pet Fee Waiver (added as a Mosaic Signature Perk starting at Mosaic 2)
You can still pick and use removed benefits through January 31, 2027.

Complimentary upgrades
While you have to wait until February 1, 2027, for the new Perks You Pick menus, complimentary upgrades will be available as soon as BlueFirst launches this December. Here's how complimentary BlueFirst upgrades work:
- Mosaic members are eligible for complimentary, space-available upgrades to BlueFirst.
- You and up to one companion on the same reservation are automatically added to the upgrade list at check-in when a seat is available.
- Eligible customers are upgraded in priority order as departure approaches.
- Main Base and EvenMore Base fares are not eligible.
In addition, Move to Mint is now rebranded as Premium Upgrade Certificates. They can be used for confirmed upgrades to Mint or BlueFirst and are already available on all flights available for booking. As we already discussed, Mosaic 2 members can select a Premium Upgrade Certificate as a Perks You Pick benefit, and Mosaic 3 and 4 members will continue to receive Premium Upgrade Certificates as part of Mosaic Signature Perks.
Bottom Line
These changes are a mixed bag. Without a doubt, the shining star is complimentary upgrades for Mosaic and JetBlue Premier Card members. JetBlue has historically operated a no-upgrades policy. If you wanted a nicer seat, you needed to pay for it. Now, eligible JetBlue loyalists can use unlimited complimentary upgrades to test out the new BlueFirst product.
However, the Perks You Pick menu changes are largely negative. Many options have been devalued or removed, and I'm not sure the new selections make up for it. No matter how you feel, get ready — most of these changes take effect on February 1, 2027.
