It's that time of year again: AwardWallet is rounding up the minor changes airline, hotel, and other loyalty and rewards programs made over the past couple of months in the latest edition of Points of Interest.

Many of these updates are small enough that they don't warrant their own post, but they're still worth knowing about in case they affect how you travel or earn (and burn) rewards.

Here's a snapshot of the changes that flew under the radar between June and July 2026.

New Delta Earning Rates on Korean Air Flights

Korean Air is one of Delta's “core” earning partners. And on June 15, 2026, a new Delta earning chart for Korean Air flights went live.

Delta's site now shows two earning charts: one for flights taken between January 1, 2024, and June 14, 2026, and another for flights taken on or after June 15, 2026. The latter now applies.

These charts can be difficult to compare side by side, but the differences between the old and new versions boil down to three key changes:

  • P fares were removed from the first-class earning tier. Previously, international P and F fares earned 300% redeemable miles and MQDs equal to 60% of the distance flown. The new chart lists only F fares at those rates.
  • V fares were added to the 150% earning tier. The former “Full Economy — W” category is now labeled “Premium Economy — V, W (International).” Both fares earn 150% redeemable miles and MQDs equal to 25% of the distance flown. The earning rates themselves did not change for W fares.
  • N fares were removed from the chart. International N fares previously earned 25% redeemable miles and MQDs equal to 5% of the distance flown. This is significant because if a fare class isn't listed, it doesn't earn SkyMiles or MQDs.

On the bright side, everything else remains unchanged. That includes the mileage and MQD earning rates for J, C, D, I, R, Y, B, M, S, H, E, K, L, U, G, Q, and T fares. Medallion mileage bonuses also still apply to every fare class still listed.

Southwest Adds New Earning Restrictions on Certain Fares

On July 14, 2026, Southwest Airlines added clarifying language to its Rapid Rewards program terms and conditions. As part of the update, the airline introduced new earning restrictions on “opaque” tickets — those booked through third-party vacation packages or select online travel agencies (OTAs) where the operating airline isn't revealed until after purchase.

These tickets no longer earn redeemable points, A-List Tier Qualifying Points, or Companion Pass qualifying points.

Standard third-party airfare bookings (such as the average booking made through Expedia, for example) aren't affected by these changes. And while most travelers probably won't book the type of ticket Southwest just restricted, it's still worth being aware of the update in case you ever book travel through a third party that doesn't disclose the operating airline until after your purchase.

Wyndham Subtracts Two Rental Car Partners and Adds Three New Ones

On July 8, 2026, Wyndham Rewards quietly shook up its rental car partner lineup for undisclosed reasons. Those changes then took effect on July 17.

In short, Wyndham dropped two rental car partners (Avis and Budget) and added three new ones (Alamo, Enterprise, and National).

In addition, Wyndham also increased the number of points members can earn on eligible rentals (provided your rental car loyalty account is set to earn hotel points instead of the rental company's native rewards).

Previously, members earned 100 Wyndham points per rental day — and up to 500 points per rental — with Avis and Budget. Now, you'll earn 2X Wyndham points per $1 spent on the base rental rate with the new partners. Eligible spending excludes taxes, government fees, vehicle registration fees, fuel, and optional add-ons like insurance and GPS rentals.

Marriott Enhances Series by Marriott Earnings in Select Regions

The Series by Marriott brand doesn't get much attention, but now it's deserving of at least some. On June 25, 2026, Marriott increased rewards earning on Series by Marriott stays in the U.S., Canada, and Greater China. This change broke the previous uniform earning structure across participating properties.

  • (AMENDED) Series by Marriott in the U.S., Canada, and Greater China
    • Earns 10 base points per $1
    • Earns 1 elite night credit per qualifying night
  • Series by Marriott everywhere else
    • Earns 5 base points per $1
    • Earns 0.5 elite night credits per qualifying night

It's hard to overstate just how long the Marriott Bonvoy terms and conditions are. And with so many brands and way-too-frequent tweaks to individual earning rules, it can be difficult to keep up with smaller changes — like which Series by Marriott properties earn what in different regions.

Marriott Removes a Transfer Partner You May Have Forgotten About

Marriott has tons of (airline) transfer partners, though some are more useful than others. But one that's no longer an option is InterMiles.

For those unfamiliar, InterMiles was originally the frequent flyer program for India's Jet Airways before being spun off into a separate company. It was later owned by Etihad and became an independent rewards program in 2019.

On July 1, 2026, Marriott officially removed InterMiles as a 3:1 transfer partner. The good news is that Marriott still partners with dozens of airline loyalty programs, so there's still no shortage of opportunities to convert hotel points into airline miles if you'd rather not redeem them for future stays.

Accor Launches Transfers to a New Airline Partner

Death, taxes, and Accor adding a new airline transfer partner just about every month.

This time around, on July 17, 2026, Accor formally launched two-way point transfers with IndiGo's BluChip rewards program. Members who link their accounts can now:

  • Convert 3,000 Accor Reward points into 2,000 IndiGo BluChips
  • Convert 6,000 IndiGo BluChips into 1,000 Accor Reward points

Transfer ratios like these generally aren't compelling enough to use on a regular basis. However, if you have a stash of BluChips you don't expect to use (as I do, for some reason), transferring them to Accor could be an easy way to get some value out of them. And vice versa.

Amex Canada and Amex Hong Kong Launch Transfers to Accor

Accor also announced two new transfer partnerships on July 17, 2026. In the near future, Card Members of American Express Membership Rewards Canada and American Express Membership Rewards Hong Kong will be able to transfer their Membership Rewards points to Accor Live Limitless (ALL).

Once available, eligible Card Members will be able to transfer Membership Rewards points to Accor at the following rates:

  • Amex Canada: 1,000 Membership Rewards points = 500 ALL Reward points
  • Amex Hong Kong: 25 Membership Rewards points = 1 ALL Reward point

With American Express continuing to expand its relationship with Accor, it makes me wonder whether ALL could eventually become a U.S. Membership Rewards transfer partner.

After all, it would certainly help replenish a transfer partner lineup that has gradually shrunk for U.S.-based Card Members over recent history.
