Air Canada Aeroplan's partner airline network includes all kinds of unique carriers, and it just added another one: Harbour Air.
For the unfamiliar, Harbour Air is North America's largest seaplane airline. It operates up to 200 daily flights to more than a dozen destinations across British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest. And now, you can earn Aeroplan points on these scenic short-hop flights.
Here’s what to know about this new partnership.

What Is Harbour Air?
Harbour Air is a Canadian regional carrier based in Richmond, British Columbia. It serves 15 destinations across British Columbia and the Pacific Northwest from its hubs in Vancouver with a fleet of 40 aircraft. Some of the types it flies includes de Havilland Canada DHC-3 Otters and DHC-6 Twin Otters.
The carrier operates both scheduled flights and scenic air tours, and has been flying since the early 1980s.

In the route map below, you can see all the destinations Harbour Air serves. Some destinations are year-round, while others are served seasonally.

Harbour Air and Aeroplan Launch a New Loyalty Partnership
The Air Canada Aeroplan program has a roster of four dozen partner airlines. And while Harbour Air is by no means one of the largest carriers on that list, it's definitely one of the most interesting — if you're like us and also geek out on air travel.
And the new loyalty partnership with Air Canada should give you a good excuse to check it out. Or, if you're a local, reward the Harbour Air flying you already do.
Earning Aeroplan points on Harbour Air flights
Harbour Air's new loyalty partnership means you can now earn Aeroplan points on scheduled Harbour Air flights. The number of points you earn depends on the fare you book.
When you book on harbourair.com, you’ll see four fare options, each with a flat earning rate:
- Flex Fare: 200 Aeroplan points
- Comfort Fare: 150 Aeroplan points
- Value Fare: 100 Aeroplan points
- Light Fare: No points
It’s not the most generous earning structure. But prior to this partnership, you wouldn't earn points at all unless you booked your flight with a travel rewards card. So, anything is better than nothing.

Redeeming Aeroplan points on Harbour Air flights
Earning usually goes hand in hand with burning, and while Aeroplan redemptions for Harbour Air flights aren't available at the outset, they should be coming soon. Aeroplan expects to roll out redemptions sometime in early 2026.
If we had to guess, Harbour Air flights probably won’t be among the best uses of your Aeroplan points. Unless Air Canada adds a special carveout, you can expect redemptions to start around 6,000 points plus taxes and fees. That’s the minimum rate on the Aeroplan award chart for partner economy flights up to 500 miles.

We’ll see how things shake out, but that’s a considerable number of points for flights that average less than 30 minutes in the air.
Stack point earnings with Harbour Club benefits
Another angle to this new loyalty partnership is that you can enjoy Harbour Club benefits while earning Aeroplan points. So, you don't have to give up your benefits for the sake of earning points — or vice versa.
Harbour Air's loyalty program has two elite tiers, Silver and Gold, above the entry-level Blue tier. Some of the benefits you’ll get for taking enough Qualifying Flights or earning enough Harbour Air Club Credits to reach Silver or Gold include scenic tour vouchers, complimentary pre-flight beverages in the terminal, free baggage allowances, and more.

Harbour Club is free to join, and you can enroll here.
Bottom Line
Air Canada Aeroplan has tons of unique partners, and Harbour Air is a logical addition to its ever growing list of partner airlines. While the earning structure leaves a little to be desired, the new loyalty partnership is still a convenient way to pick up a few extra points on the Harbour Air flights you’re already taking.
And in the year ahead, the partnership should expand when Aeroplan adds point redemptions on Harbour Air. We don’t know exactly when that’ll happen or what awards will cost, but we’ll update this post as soon as we know more.
