Singapore Airlines’ rewards program has three tiers of status: base-level KrisFlyer, KrisFlyer Elite Silver, and KrisFlyer Elite Gold. You can unlock Silver and Gold by earning Elite miles from flying with Singapore Airlines and its partners, or by spending with select on-the-ground partners.
While elite status comes with plenty of benefits, you don’t need to reach Elite Silver or Gold to start earning perks. Singapore Airlines offers Milestone Rewards, which you can unlock on your way to status.
Here’s how KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards work and what you’ll unlock at each threshold.
Unlock Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards by Earning Elite Miles
KrisFlyer refers to its status-earning currency as “Elite miles,” which are different from redeemable KrisFlyer miles. Elite miles are used to qualify for status and Milestone Rewards, while redeemable miles are used for award flights and other redemptions.
You can earn Elite miles when flying with Singapore Airlines, Scoot, and other partner airlines. You can also earn Elite miles by spending with non-flight partners such as Kris+, KrisShop, and Pelago, typically at a rate of 1 Elite mile per 1 Singapore dollar (SGD) spent.
Earning Elite miles — which you can track in your account summary — can unlock elite status, which comes with the following benefits:
- Elite Silver (25,000 Elite miles): 25% bonus on miles flown, free seat selection in economy class, priority airport check-in and boarding, an additional free bag allowance, and more.
- Elite Gold (50,000 Elite miles): Access to Star Alliance and KrisFlyer Gold lounges, priority baggage handling, complimentary forward zone seat selection, a fee waiver on your first flight change, and more.

But Elite miles also count toward KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards. These are perks or one-time benefits you’ll unlock at various thresholds on your way to elite status.
Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards
Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer Milestone Rewards are earned between KrisFlyer elite status thresholds. Here’s what you’ll unlock at each one:
| Elite Miles Threshold | Milestone Reward |

| 1,000 | 1,000 bonus KrisFlyer miles on your next flight with Scoot |
| 2,500 | 20% discount voucher on Scoot |
| 5,000 | 1,000 KrisPay miles |
| 10,000 | $20 KrisShop promo code |
| 20,000 | 25% bonus KrisFlyer miles on top of the miles earned for a single flight segment |
| 25,000 | Qualify for KrisFlyer Elite Silver |
| 30,000 | 50% bonus KrisFlyer miles on top of the miles earned for a single flight segment |
| 40,000 | 5,000 KrisFlyer miles redemption discount |
| 50,000 | Qualify for KrisFlyer Elite Gold |
| 60,000 | Double KrisFlyer miles for a single flight segment |
| 75,000 | Short-haul advance upgrade on a segment from Zones 1 to 2, Zones 1 to 3, Zone 11 to 11, or vice versa |
| 100,000 | Premium Economy Class advance upgrade |
Here are a few additional details on some of those Milestone Rewards (and partners) that might not be self-explanatory:
- KrisShop is Singapore Airlines’ retail platform, where customers can buy clothing, makeup, electronics, and more. You can even shop duty-free online with a Scoot or Singapore Airlines flight booking. Redemptions are available at a rate of 100 KrisFlyer miles per S$1.
- Kris+ is a rewards app from Singapore Airlines that lets users earn up to 6 miles per S$1 spent on everyday purchases with eligible dining, retail, and entertainment partners. More than 1,700 partners offer deals, vouchers, and other redemption options.
- Pelago is Singapore Airlines’ excursion booking platform, where you can redeem miles for activities at a rate of 100 miles per S$1. You can also earn 3 miles per S$1 spent.

Final Thoughts
There’s something to appreciate about additional benefits between elite status thresholds — especially in the case of Singapore Airlines, which only has two elite tiers in its KrisFlyer program.
That said, while you might not be spoiled for choice — you don’t get options at each threshold like you do with programs like Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards, for example — these are still useful one-time benefits you can take advantage of as you unlock them.
