Wouldn't it be nice to earn elite status once — and never have to worry about earning it again? With JetBlue, that’s actually possible right now…if you're willing to fly a lot.
To celebrate its 25th birthday, JetBlue launched a generous three-tiered promotion offering the chance to earn 150,000 bonus TrueBlue points, 350,000 bonus points, and Mosaic 1 status for the next 25 years. The catch? You’ll need to take a lot of JetBlue flights between now and the end of the year.
Here’s everything you need to know about the offer — and how to lock in a quarter-century of Mosaic 1 status on the cheap.
Fly Your Way to JetBlue Mosaic Status For 25 Years
JetBlue is turning 25 this year, and to celebrate, the airline is giving TrueBlue members a shot at locking in Mosaic 1 status for the next 25 years. It’s part of a three-tiered promotion, with rewards based on how many unique destinations you fly to on JetBlue.

Here’s how it works: between June 25 and December 31, 2025, each unique airport you fly to on JetBlue counts once toward the offer, no matter how many times you visit the same place. And if you hit different milestones, you can unlock the following:
- 15 destinations earns 150,000 bonus TrueBlue points
- 20 destinations earns 200,000 additional points, for 350,000 total
- 25 destinations earns Mosaic 1 status for 25 years, plus all the bonus points above

While the third tier is obviously the most eye catching, the other two are pretty lucrative, too. But as always, the devil is in the details. Here's the fine print of the offer:
- Registration is not required
- Offer valid for new and existing flown bookings departing between June 25, 2025, and December 31, 2025
- Only JetBlue-operated flights qualify (codeshare, interline, and partner-operated flights do not)
- Eligible fares include Blue, Blue Extra, Even More, Mint, award flights, Cash + Points, and JetBlue Vacations bookings
- Blue Basic fares are not eligible, and destinations flown on Blue Basic will not count
- Departure airports do not count as destinations (e.g., LAX-BUF counts as BUF only)
- Airports in the same city count separately (e.g., JFK, LGA, and EWR each count as unique destinations)
- Connecting flights count each airport as a separate qualifying destination, regardless of layover time
- A valid TrueBlue number must be attached to the booking before travel
- Non-revenue and Paisly bookings are not eligible
- Bonus points and Mosaic status will be awarded within 2 to 3 weeks after completing the offer
All in all, this offer is pretty straightforward. Just remember to steer clear of Blue Basic fares.

How to Maximize This JetBlue Promotion
If you're like me, you saw this JetBlue promotion and immediately started figuring out how to maximize it. The absolute best way to do that is by booking cheap non-Blue Basic flights and using a JetBlue credit card to earn extra points. You can then use those points to book more eligible flights. Remember, award flights count, too!
If you want to minimize the time you spend on a JetBlue plane, it’s worth taking a quick look at the airline’s route map. It’s changed quite a bit recently as JetBlue has dealt with financial struggles, but most of the shortest flights are still concentrated on the East Coast. You’ll also find some quick hops in the Caribbean, which are ideal for checking off a couple of destinations.

One challenge you might run into is that departure airports don’t count as destinations. So, if you book a bunch of one-way flights on separate itineraries, the departure airport won’t count unless you also flew into that airport on a previous ticket.
All to say, this should be a pretty easy promotion to take advantage of…if you can make JetBlue’s route map work for you and can carve out the time and resources to make it happen.
Booking cheap flights through this offer is easily the lowest-cost way to lock in 25 years of status. No other airline is offering this much status for this little spending.
Bottom Line
JetBlue’s 25th birthday promo is an easy way to get people flying. Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) ran a similar million-mile EuroBonus promotion last year, so it feels like JetBlue is trying to capture that same kind of buzz — and hopefully, the same success.
If we're being honest, this is a pretty neat promo. While 25 years of status is a huge reward, the bonus points you’ll earn along the way are also really valuable since you can use TrueBlue points to book partner awards on Icelandair, Japan Airlines, Etihad, Qatar and TAP Portugal at great value.
That said, the aviation landscape will look very different in 25 years. Maybe JetBlue will still be around, maybe it won’t. So whether you’ll actually get to enjoy 25 years of Mosaic 1 status — or what Mosaic 1 will even look like in a few years as far as perks go — is anyone’s guess.
