Exchanging your points for a $50 voucher represents a return of 0.625 cents per point, which could be a good redemption if you don't have another use. It is not clear whether if you register for the promotion and have a stock of Choice Hotel points you can exchange them for the Gift Cards. With Choice hotels redemptions starting at 8,000 points to 35,000 points, taking advantage of this promotion may be a good way to extract some more value from your points.
