Through November 30, 2023, join Club TAP with preferred pricing and bonus miles on this subscription plan to get miles each month (plus other perks). If you join this month, you'll earn up to 150,000 bonus miles, depending on which plan you choose.
Plans are offering 4,000 to 38,000 more miles more than usual if you join this month. While we normally are skeptical about these offers to get miles each month through a subscription plan, this one is different. If you choose the highest plan, you'll have enough miles for a business-class flight to… pretty much anywhere. And it will cost just $999.
Here are the details of the current offer to get bonus miles from Club TAP and why it's far better than buying TAP miles with the current promotion.
Club TAP Overview
Club TAP offers four levels of membership: Club Basic, Club Extra, Club Top, and Club Platinum. These are priced at $122, $309, $499, and $999 per year, respectively.
Just a few years ago, these tiers cost $122, $308, $493, and $887. That's a big jump on Club Platinum (the highest tier) but still an amazing deal, as detailed below.
When joining Club TAP, members earn a flat amount of bonus miles, plus bonus miles are deposited into their TAP Miles & Go account each month. Normally, this breaks down as follows:
- Club Basic: 2,000 miles when joining, plus 1,000 miles per month = 14,000 total bonus miles during the year
- Club Extra: 4,000 miles when joining, plus 2,000 miles per month = 28,000 total bonus miles during the year
- Club Top: 8,000 miles when joining, plus 4,000 miles per month = 56,000 total bonus miles during the year
- Club Platinum: 16,000 miles when joining, plus 8,000 miles per month = 112,000 total bonus miles during the year

Join Club TAP for Black Friday and Earn up to 150,000 Bonus Miles
Each year, Club TAP offers bonus miles with new memberships for Black Friday, and 2023 is no different. This year, members can earn up to 150,000 bonus miles when joining Club TAP. But what does that really mean? Let's break it down.
Through November 30, 2023, bonus miles are increased for Club Extra, Club Top, and Club Platinum. At first glance, it's a bit confusing how many more bonus miles members earn over the usual amount.
There's a lot of information in this chart about potential earnings and potential benefits, relying on theoretical paid flights. Let's focus on the miles you get each month and the bonus miles from signing up.
Club Platinum is offering 54,000 miles for signing up by November 30, rather than the typical 16,000 bonus miles. With the 8,000 monthly miles from this subscription, which is the standard amount, you'll wind up with 150,000 miles over the course of a year.
At this price, you're effectively buying 150,000 miles over the course of a year for 0.67¢ apiece.
If you look at this as merely a promotion to buy miles, here are the costs:
- Club Basic: 14,000 miles for $122 = 0.87¢ each
- Club Extra: 32,000 miles for $309 = 0.97¢ each
- Club Top: 68,000 miles for $499 = 0.73¢ each
- Club Platinum: 150,000 miles for $999 = 0.67¢ each
Additional benefits
Club TAP members also earn double bonus status miles on membership renewal for this promotion, available on all but the Basic plan. In previous Black Friday promotions, Club Top earned Silver status, and Club Platinum earned Gold status. We're not seeing those benefits this year. However, Club Platinum is offering Silver status in the current plan.
Note that the bonus miles are spread out over 12 months, but you're still getting a fantastic deal. Many long-haul flights around the world with TAP cost around 115,000 to 150,000 miles for business class. Therefore, purchasing a Club Platinum membership before November 30 for $999 gives you enough miles for nearly any TAP business class redemption.
For comparison, the current promotion to buy TAP miles with a 100% bonus only brings TAP miles down to 1.9 cents per mile. Club Platinum subscriptions are offering miles for a third of that price, assuming you sign up by November 30, 2023.

If you subscribe to Club TAP with this promotion, what can you do with 150,000 miles? Plenty. While TAP Miles & Go doesn't have the world's best redemption rates, 150k miles are enough for:
- 5 one-way economy flights within North America
- 1 round-trip economy flight from North America to the Middle East with a Star Alliance partner
- 2 round-trip economy flights on TAP from North America to anywhere TAP flies, including up to a 10-day free stopover in Portugal
- 1 business-class ticket from North America to anywhere in the world with a Star Alliance partner
All of those are possible (plus TAP Silver status thrown in) for $999. Just remember that the miles are doled out over the course of a year.

Our Take
This is an incredible promotion for Black Friday. If you're not a TAP Miles & Go member, perhaps now is the time to join and purchase a Club TAP membership. Just remember that the total miles earned with this promotion come in over the span of 12 months. In other words, don't expect to have enough miles for a business-class flight around the world as soon as you buy the membership.
Also, keep in mind that TAP Silver Elite status provides Star Alliance Silver status. So not only are you buying 150,000 miles at 0.67 cents each, but you're also getting Star Alliance Silver Elite status if you don't already have it.
Do the math for your situation, but this could be a great deal for many fliers.
