JetBlue receives high ratings for service and comfort among United States-based flyers. Although technically a low-cost carrier, JetBlue is more of a hybrid airline, especially now that it is opening JetBlue Bluehouse lounges, offering a true business-class product on select transcontinental and international routes, and even plans to add a “Mini Mint” product on shorter flights. JetBlue also has historically had the most legroom in economy, on average, of any U.S. carrier.

If all of these reasons weren't enough to love flying the airline, the JetBlue TrueBlue loyalty program might be the cherry on top. Earning JetBlue Mosaic elite status is straightforward, and the perks are generous.

Here's everything you need to know about earning JetBlue TrueBlue Mosaic elite status and the benefits you'll get along the way.

How to Earn JetBlue Mosaic Elite Status

There are four tiers of Mosaic elite status, but JetBlue didn't put much creativity into naming the tiers: Mosaic 1, Mosaic 2, Mosaic 3, and Mosaic 4. Despite the lack of creativity, the Mosaic program comes packed with benefits for JetBlue frequent flyers.

It's best to earn JetBlue Mosaic Elite Status as early in the calendar year as possible. That's because, once you've earned status, you get to enjoy the perks of that tier for the remainder of the current year, plus 13 months. For example, if you earn status in May 2026, you'll keep your status through January 31, 2028.

To earn status, you need to collect Tiles. Luckily, it's straightforward to do so. For every $100 you spend on JetBlue flights — including select extras, on JetBlue Vacations packages, and TrueBlue Travel — you'll earn 1 tile. You also earn 1 tile for every $1,000 spent on JetBlue credit cards.

Here's how many Tiles you'll need to reach each tier of status:

  • Mosaic 1: 50 tiles
  • Mosaic 2: 100 tiles
  • Mosaic 3: 150 tiles
  • Mosaic 4: 250 tiles

Apart from JetBlue flights and vacation packages, JetBlue offers several different ways to earn Tiles or jump straight to Mosaic status.

Earn Mosaic status through a status match

JetBlue offers a status match and a challenge to retain your status or upgrade to the next tier.

Match to Mosaic 1 with the following programs:

  • Atmos Rewards Silver and Gold
  • American Airlines AAdvantage Gold and Platinum
  • British Airways Club Silver
  • Delta Air Lines Silver and Gold Medallion
  • Frontier Airlines Elite Platinum and Elite Diamond
  • Southwest Airlines A-List
  • Spirit Airlines Free Spirit Silver

You'll receive all Mosaic 1 Signature Perks and Mint Suite Priority. However, you won't be able to select any Perks You Pick. More on that in a bit.

Match to Mosaic 2 if you hold any of the following statuses:

  • Atmos Rewards Platinum and Titanium
  • American Airlines AAdvantage Executive Platinum, Platinum Pro, and ConciergeKey
  • British Airways Club Gold
  • Delta Air Lines Platinum and Diamond Medallion, Delta 360
  • Southwest Airlines A-List Preferred
  • Spirit Airlines Free Spirit Gold

You'll receive Mosaic 2 Signature Perks, EvenMore seat selection at booking, Mint Suite Priority, and a pet fee waiver. Like the Mosaic 1 status match, you cannot select any Perks You Pick.

Once approved, your status match is valid for three months. You can extend your status through the following calendar year by earning tiles within the three months of receiving your matched status:

  • Earn 10 tiles to keep Mosaic 1
  • Earn 25 tiles to keep Mosaic 2
  • Earn 40 tiles to earn Mosaic 3

Say you're a Delta Air Lines Platinum Medallion member. You could match in January, book and complete a $4,000 JetBlue Vacations package in February or March, and receive Mosaic 3 status through December of the following calendar year. If you're strategic, you can essentially earn Mosaic 3 for close to two full years with a couple of flights and a hotel stay.

To apply for a status match, submit a screenshot of your frequent flyer program profile showing your full name and proof of status. If you are matching to Mosaic 2, you'll also need to submit a photo of your most recent boarding pass or flight confirmation email showing your status. The status match can take up to four weeks to process. Be strategic about when you submit your request and start your challenge if you want to enjoy perks for as long as possible.

Buy tiles

You can buy the tiles you need to reach elite status, but it's very expensive. If you are starting from scratch, you can spend the following to buy status:

  • Mosaic 1: Buy 50 Tiles for $5,590
  • Mosaic 2: Buy 100 Tiles for $10,857.50
  • Mosaic 3: Buy 150 Tiles for $15,318.75
  • Mosaic 4: Buy 250 Tiles for $24,187.50

This is roughly the same amount you'd need to spend on JetBlue flights or JetBlue Vacation packages to reach each tier of status. If you earn 1 tile per $100 spent on flights or vacation packages, you'd need to spend $25,000 to earn enough tiles to reach Mosaic 4. However, in exchange, you're also getting $25,000 worth of flights and vacations.

If you simply buy status, you'll spend thousands with only BlueHouse Lounge access and Move to Mint waivers to show for it. However, if you only need a couple of Tiles to reach the next tier, it might be worth it. Otherwise, skip this option and earn tiles through travel instead.

Family Tiles

One of the many changes to the TrueBlue program in 2026 was the introduction of Family Tiles, which makes it easier for parents or guardians to earn Mosaic status. Any TrueBlue member who is a parent or guardian of a child under the age of 13 can earn tiles on all qualifying revenue spent on travel for each of their children.

Note that the child must be enrolled in TrueBlue to qualify, and you must enroll in Family Tiles before traveling.

Benefits of JetBlue Mosaic Elite Status

    Before status

Before you ever earn status, you will receive several perks. For every 10 tiles you earn before reaching Mosaic 1 (10, 20, 30, and 40 Tiles), you can choose one of the following benefits:

    • Group B boarding (excluding basic fares)
    • Priority security screening
    • One free alcoholic drink per flight
    • One-time 2X bonus points on a JetBlue Vacations package
    • 5,000 bonus JetBlue TrueBlue points

If you didn't already choose the 2X bonus points on a JetBlue Vacations package or 5,000-point bonus before you reach Mosaic 1, these will be added to your Mosaic Signature Perks.

    Mosaic 1

Mosaic 1, TrueBlue's lowest status tier, comes with several Signature Perks. After earning 50 tiles, you'll get the following benefits:

    • Earn 3 extra points per $1 spent on JetBlue flights
    • 1 free checked bag for you and eligible travel companions
    • 1 free alcoholic drink
    • Select EvenMore seats at check-in at no additional cost for yourself and up to two companions
    • Flight changes with no fee or fare difference starting 24 hours before departure
    • Preferred Core seating
    • Mosaic boarding
    • Priority security screening
    • Dedicated check-in line and phone support
    • Heathrow Express upgrades to Business First
    • Avis Preferred Plus status match

TrueBlue's lowest status tier is already more valuable than some other airlines' status programs. Also, Heathrow Express upgrades to Business First mean more legroom, a table to work on, in-seat power, and more on the train from Heathrow Airport to Paddington Station in London.

    Mosaic 2

To earn Mosaic 2 elite status, you'll have to earn 100 tiles — twice as many as Mosaic 1. Mosaic 2 gets everything that Mosaic 1 gets, plus the ability to choose EvenMore seats for free at the time of booking for yourself and up to two companions, an additional free checked bag, and a match to Avis President's Club status.

    Mosaic 3

JetBlue TrueBlue Mosaic 3 elite status requires earning 150 tiles.

Mosaic 3 elites get all of the perks of Mosaic 2 and more. You'll earn 4X bonus points on JetBlue flights, and you can choose EvenMore seats at the time of booking for yourself and up to four companions. You'll also receive four upgrade certificates to fly JetBlue's Mint business class for no additional cost (subject to availability). If anything goes wrong, enjoy dedicated phone support exclusive to Mosaic 3 elites.

    Mosaic 4

The highest status level with JetBlue TrueBlue is Mosaic 4. You'll have to earn 250 tiles to get this status, which comes with everything that the other three tiers get, plus the following:

    • 5X bonus points on JetBlue flights
    • Dedicated Mosaic 4 phone support
    • Complimentary BlueHouse Lounge access for yourself and a travel companion
    • 4 more Move to Mint certificates (for a total of eight certificates)
    • Gift Mosaic 1 to a TrueBlue member of your choosing

You'll earn two more Move to Mint certificates for every 100 tiles you earn after reaching Mosaic 4.

    Mosaic Perks You Pick

JetBlue also grants status holders additional perks each time they reach a new status tier, including when they reach Mosaic 1. These are benefits you can choose from Mosaic Perks You Pick:

    • Mint Suite Priority, depending on aircraft and availability (excluding Mint Studio)
    • $99 statement credit on the JetBlue Plus Card or JetBlue Business Card
    • FoundersCard Blue Membership, which includes 150+ premium travel, business, and lifestyle benefits created just for Mosaic members
    • 20-tile bonus to reach the next status tier even faster
    • Pet fee waiver for a cat or small dog on eligible JetBlue flights
    • Gift a 20-tile bonus to another TrueBlue member
    • 15,000 bonus TrueBlue points to be redeemed for award travel
    • IHG One Rewards Platinum Elite status, which comes with perks like reward night discounts and complimentary upgrades

Is Earning JetBlue Mosaic Status Worth it?

JetBlue Mosaic status can be highly rewarding — for the right traveler. Here are some of our favorite perks, and why they make earning Mosaic status more than worth it.

    Waived bag fees

JetBlue baggage fees are expensive — your first checked bag might cost as much as $59 each way, while your second could cost $79. If you were to check two bags, you'd spend as much as $279 on a round-trip itinerary, but these would be free for Mosaic 2 members and above. Only the first checked bag is free for Mosaic 1 members. If you travel more than a few times yearly and check a bag, Mosaic status will keep a lot of money in your pocket.

    Free EvenMore seats

Similarly, JetBlue's EvenMore seats can be very expensive. You'll find these seats closer to the pointy end of the plane, and they feature extra leg room, early boarding, dedicated bin space, free in-flight alcoholic drinks, a premium snack offering, and priority security.

On the five-hour flight from New York (JFK) to Bridgetown, Barbados (BGI), you'll pay a whopping $189 for an EvenMore seat each way — on top of the $325 one-way Blue fare. Mosaic 3 members and above get free EvenMore seat selection at booking for themselves and up to 4 travel companions. On this route, that adds up to savings of $945 each way for a group of five. Even on short routes, like the one-hour jaunt between New York (JFK) and Boston (BOS), you'll pay north of $34 per seat each way.

Mosaic 1 members can reserve these seats for free upon check-in, while Mosaic 2 and above can select them at booking. For those who value extra legroom, this Mosaic perk is another that'll save you a lot of money over time. It's not groundbreaking, but it's a surefire way to make each flight more comfortable without spending any extra money.

    Move to Mint

Finally, the Move to Mint perk is phenomenal. JetBlue features a lavish Mint cabin on select airplanes — the airline's version of business class. You won't enjoy traditional upgrades on JetBlue as you will on American, Delta, or United, but after unlocking Mosaic 3 or 4, you'll earn a set of certificates redeemable for a Mint upgrade. At Mosaic 3, the “Move to Mint” perk grants four certificates. In the next tier, at Mosaic 4, you'll earn four additional certificates.

Depending on the cash price of your flight, the number of certificates required for an upgrade varies. On cheap flights operated by a Mint-equipped plane, you can bank an upgrade for a single certificate or two. Even better, Move to Mint certificates are redeemable on most tickets — including those booked with TrueBlue points. However, you won't be able to use certificates on Blue Basic tickets.

JetBlue's Mosaic program offers real ways for travelers to save money and elevate their travel experience. If you live near a JetBlue hub, it can be worth it to work toward Mosaic status.

    Bottom Line

Earning JetBlue TrueBlue Mosaic status is easier to track than many airline elite programs, since everything revolves around one metric: Tiles. But that doesn’t mean the program is simple. Between Signature Perks, Perks You Pick, pre-Mosaic benefits, credit card shortcuts, Family Tiles, status matches, and Move to Mint certificates, there’s a lot to understand if you want to maximize the program.

For travelers who regularly fly JetBlue, Mosaic status can deliver meaningful value. Free checked bags, EvenMore seats, same-day flight changes, bonus points, and dedicated support can quickly add up. And at the higher tiers, Move to Mint certificates and BlueHouse Lounge access give Mosaic status a more premium upside than JetBlue’s low-cost roots might suggest.

That said, Mosaic won’t make sense for everyone. If JetBlue doesn’t serve your home airport well, or if you rarely check bags, pay for extra-legroom seats, or fly Mint routes, the value may be harder to justify. But if JetBlue is already part of your travel patterns, Mosaic is worth understanding — and potentially worth pursuing strategically.
