Wyndham Rewards points offer under-the-radar value for stays ranging from hotels to cottages, vacation rental homes, and more. Now, thanks to a partnership with Decameron All Inclusive Hotels & Resorts, Wyndham Rewards points are good for something else.

Here's what you need to know about the new Wyndham–Decameron partnership. Additionally, we'll give you a look at the list of all-inclusive properties now bookable from 15,000 points per night.

Wyndham Partners With Decameron All Inclusive Hotels & Resorts

Decameron features a portfolio of properties dotted across the southern part of North America and Central America. Wyndham partnered with Decameron to introduce nine of its all-inclusive properties to its collection, and you can now book stays at these locations through Wyndham.

Even better, as a Wyndham Rewards member, you can earn 10 points per dollar spent on eligible Decameron stays — or a minimum of 1,000 points. Plus, you can redeem Wyndham points for stays. Free nights start at 15,000 or 30,000 points, depending on the Decameron property.

Should you redeem Wyndham points for Decameron stays?

While it's exciting to have a new redemption option, there are certain instances where it makes more sense to redeem points than others. This is a function of looking at the cash rates and comparing them to the average redemption value of 15,000 or 30,000 Wyndham points. In other words, cash rates might occasionally present a better deal than redeeming points.

Based on what AwardWallet users redeem Wyndham points for — 1.27¢ apiece — you can get an idea of what 15,000 or 30,000 points are worth:

  • 15,000 Wyndham points: $175
  • 30,000 Wyndham points: $351

At the very least, saving your points for higher-dollar nights is worth considering if the cash rate provides more value than your points will. For instance, the cash rate for a one-night stay at the Royal Decameron Panamá is cheaper than what 15,000 points are typically worth. The inverse will likely be true in peak season.

It's not a huge difference, but it's still worth considering as you decide what to do with your points.

Final Thoughts

Wyndham's partnership with Decameron has the potential to unlock real value for your Wyndham points. That's a big deal, considering the nine properties that joined the Wyndham portfolio are all-inclusive and, on occasion, will present a fantastic deal for point redemptions.
