Rove Miles hasn’t been around for long, but it’s already built a reputation for offering incredible value. And as of this morning, October 14, 2025, it just got even better. Rove rolled out a brand-new feature that makes booking hotel and resort stays through its platform more rewarding than ever.

Effective immediately, tens of thousands of properties across major hotel chains are now loyalty eligible. And that’s a big deal. Here’s why — and how you can turn this new benefit into triple the rewards on your next Rove Miles bookings.

Rove Miles Makes Thousands of Hotels Loyalty-Eligible

One of the biggest drawbacks of booking through third-party travel portals, including Rove Miles, has always been that hotel and resort stays typically aren’t eligible for extra benefits or bonus points if you have elite status with the brand you’re staying at. For many travelers, it often makes more sense to skip the extra rewards or savings from a portal and book directly instead to earn hotel points, elite status credits, and enjoy elite perks.

But now, Rove Miles offers the best of both worlds.

In an update to its program, tens of thousands of properties across major hotel brands — including Hilton, Hyatt, IHG, Marriott, and more — are now loyalty eligible. That means if you book a stay at one of these properties, you can add your loyalty number during checkout to earn elite-qualifying nights, bonus points, and enjoy any elite benefits tied to your status.

The catch? You’ll earn fewer Rove Miles on loyalty-eligible bookings.

But you won't earn nothing. Through October 31, 2025, you'll earn 10X Rove Miles per dollar spent on these stays thanks to a limited-time promotion. After that, the earning rate drops to 5X per dollar. This is significantly lower than other payouts you may have seen Rove offer, but that's the trade-off.

What’s especially interesting, though, is that you’ll still have a choice. Even if a booking is loyalty eligible, you don’t have to take advantage of it. Rove will let you decide before you complete your reservation.

You can opt for the lower Rove Miles payout and earn hotel points and elite credits, or skip those perks and go for the higher earning rate. Rove advertises up to 25X Rove Miles per dollar spent on non-loyalty-eligible stays, but in some cases, we’ve seen much higher.

However, there’s a strong case to be made for choosing loyalty-eligible bookings over the higher payouts. It’s the key to tripling your rewards.

How to Triple Up on Rewards When Booking Hotels Through Rove Miles

What’s especially exciting about this new benefit is that hotel and resort bookings made through Rove can now earn rewards in three different ways. Here’s how it works:

  1. Rove Miles earned on the booking itself: 10X per dollar spent on bookings made through October 31, 2025, and 5X per dollar thereafter.
  2. Elite-status credits, bonus points, and elite benefits: Earned through the hotel brand where you hold (or are working toward) elite status.
  3. Credit card rewards: Earned on the card you use to pay, whether it’s a co-branded hotel or airline card, or one that earns transferable points or cash back.

If you book directly with the hotel, you’ll only earn rewards from numbers two and three. And unless there’s a difference in the rate you’d get by booking direct, there’s really no reason not to book with Rove and earn extra transferable miles in addition to all of your other rewards.

It’s one of the easiest ways to pad multiple rewards balances at once.

Bottom Line

If you’ve avoided booking hotel stays through Rove Miles because you didn’t want to miss out on earning elite night credits or enjoying your hard-earned benefits at your preferred hotel chain, you should be glad to know that’s no longer a trade-off. Now, you really can have your cake and eat it too.

And it goes without saying that this is a very traveler-friendly move. Thus, it naturally raises the question of whether competing travel portals — like those run by major card issuers — will feel the pressure to follow suit. Some already allow loyalty-eligible bookings, but it’s usually limited to high-dollar stays.

So, it’s possible others could respond in kind. But until that happens, Rove Miles will likely remain the most intriguing travel portal out there.
