If you can believe it, the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club at the Hong Kong International Airport will close on January 5, 2026. This was the first location for the now beloved Sapphire Lounges, so it's surprising to hear that it will shut down in a little over a month.
Here's what we know so far.
Hong Kong Chase Sapphire Lounge Closing January 2026
The listing on the Chase Sapphire Reserve Lounge Network website has been updated to show that the Hong Kong International Airport location will be closing on January 5, 2026. Unfortunately, no other information has been announced by Chase or the airport.
It's not clear at this time whether it will close temporarily for renovations or cease operations entirely and possibly re-branding. But if we had to guess, it's likely the latter. Otherwise, it would make a fair bit of sense to add the word “temporarily” to the lounge listing, and perhaps a few more details on when travelers could expect it to open back up.

The lounge, which originally opened in 2022, is currently available to cardholders of the Chase Sapphire Reserve® (Rates & Fees), Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ (Rates & Fees), and cards that offer a complimentary Priority Pass membership.
The Hong Kong location is one of the few Sapphire Lounges that does not impose a “once per calendar year” restriction for Priority Pass members.

Bottom Line
We don't know much, but we do know that the Hong Kong Chase Sapphire Lounge will close on January 5, 2026. If you are traveling through Hong Kong over the holidays, you shouldn't have a problem accessing the lounge. However, come January, you'll need to find another lounge during your layover.
As we learn more about why this lounge is closing — and whether it's permanently or temporarily — we'll be sure to update this post.
