When the Chase Sapphire Reserve® (Rates & Fees) was refreshed in 2025, it added a handful of new travel and lifestyle benefits. These range from a prepaid The Edit hotel credit to annual StubHub credits, which you can use throughout the year. Among the more unexpected benefits, however, is a partnership with Apple.

The Sapphire Reserve includes memberships to Apple Music and Apple TV. These are Apple's music and video streaming services, respectively, and are available to use even if you don't have an Apple device. Complimentary memberships to these services must be activated by June 22, 2027, and then run for 12 months after activation.

The way you use the Sapphire Reserve‘s Apple Music and Apple TV benefits is different than using other benefits provided by the card, as they're not statement credits. Instead, you activate them by linking your Chase account to your Apple ID. When the partnership launched, subscribers to Apple One — Apple's bundle subscription plan — had no way to utilize these perks. Luckily, that just changed.

Let's take a closer look at the Sapphire Reserve‘s Apple benefits, what they include, and how to set them up. We'll also discuss how this benefit works if you already have an Apple family plan or an Apple One subscription.

What Apple Benefits Are Included With the Sapphire Reserve?

The Sapphire Reserve‘s Apple benefits are clear-cut: You'll get complimentary Apple Music and Apple TV subscriptions for a minimum of one year as long as you activate by June 22, 2027.

To activate, you can link your Apple ID to your Chase account through the Ultimate Rewards portal.

Apple Music is Apple's answer to Spotify and includes unlimited, ad-free streaming of millions of songs. You can access the streaming service through the included Music app on your Mac, iPhone, or iPad, or by downloading the Apple Music app for Android and Windows. A standard single-user subscription costs $11.99 per month in the U.S., though discounts are available for students.

Apple TV is an all-original streaming service with in-house hits like Ted Lasso, Severance, and The Morning Show. A single-user subscription costs $12.99 per month or $99.99 per year in the U.S.

The Sapphire Reserve includes full access to both of these streaming services for the Apple ID you link to your Chase account. If you're paying for both services outright, these benefits effectively amount to a $288 annual rebate toward your card's annual fee.

How To Use the Sapphire Reserve‘s Apple Music and Apple TV Benefits

As mentioned, the Sapphire Reserve‘s Apple Music and Apple TV benefits work a bit differently than other benefits included with the card. Instead of charging your monthly subscription to your Sapphire Reserve and being reimbursed via a statement credit, you have to link your Chase account to your Apple ID to enable your complimentary memberships.

Doing this is simple. First, navigate to Chase's website and log in to your account. Then, click into your Sapphire Reserve account and click the “More” button underneath your card balance. Click on “Card benefits” from the drop-down menu.

Scroll down the page until you see the “Enjoy membership perks” header. Underneath this, you will see the Apple Music and Apple TV benefits. Click on the Apple benefit you'd like to activate.

You'll see a blue “Activate now” button at the center of the page. Click this button to be redirected to Apple's website, where you can link your Chase account to your Apple ID and activate your complimentary Apple Music and Apple TV subscriptions.

If you already have an active Apple Music or Apple TV subscription, activating one through Chase will automatically suspend it, so there's no need to cancel beforehand. However, if you cancel your Chase Apple Music or Apple TV subscription — for example, if you close your card — your paid subscription will resume automatically.

What If I Already Have an Apple One Plan?

Apple offers a premium subscription service called Apple One that lets users bundle multiple services under a single monthly bill. There are three tiers — Individual, Family, and Premier — which include access to various services. At the Family and Premier levels, you can share access with up to five other Apple IDs.

My family has long subscribed to the Premier plan, as we had previously paid for Apple Music and various amounts of iCloud+ storage for years. Given that six of us can access all these features and more for just $37.95 per month (which breaks down to $6.32 per person), it's a no-brainer for us.

When the Sapphire Reserve‘s Apple partnership first launched, there was no way to take advantage of the benefits unless you canceled your Apple One membership and subscribed individually. However, especially for Premier users, unbundling the membership would be more expensive, even after accounting for the free memberships through Chase.

Luckily, Apple One users now have an option. When you activate through Chase and have an existing Apple One subscription, you can get an $8 monthly discount per subscription for a minimum of one year after activation. In other words, that $37.95 Apple One Premier membership will cost just $21.95 per month for at least one year.

According to the terms, your discount will automatically apply starting with your next billing period. That's right — no need to cancel and resubscribe. I just activated my benefits through Chase, and for now, it shows that I have duplicate subscriptions. However, based on user reports online, this should correct itself on my renewal date.

Bottom Line

The Sapphire Reserve‘s recent refresh brought a ton of new perks to the card, including complimentary subscriptions to Apple Music and Apple TV if you activate by June 22, 2027. This can be a great way to reduce your monthly streaming service bill while enjoying new music, movies, and TV shows.

And now, those who are already subscribed to an Apple One plan can use these benefits alongside their current plan as a monthly discount.
