Even though the new Medallion year just started, Delta is already throwing travelers a bone. A couple of American Express-issued Delta cards are offering double Medallion Qualification Dollars on purchases through May 17, 2026.
With this promotion, registered Delta SkyMiles® Platinum American Express Card and Delta SkyMiles® Platinum Business American Express Card cardholders will earn 2X MQDs for every $20 spent on eligible purchases.

Delta Platinum Cards: Enroll to Earn 2X MQDs on Purchases
For a limited time, those with the Delta Platinum Amex and Delta Business Platinum Amex can register for a spending promotion to earn bonus Medallion Qualification Dollars.
This offer was originally sent via email, so it's likely targeted. If you didn’t receive it but hold one of these cards, you can try signing in here to see if you’re eligible to enroll.
After enrolling, Delta Platinum Amex and Delta Business Platinum Amex Card Members will earn 2X MQDs for every $20 spent through May 17, 2026. Normally, these cards earn 1X MQD per $20 spent. So, this promotion makes these cards worth spending on if you’re working toward Delta Medallion status this year.
Purchases made by authorized users on your account are also eligible for double MQDs during the promotional period.
Keep in mind that Delta SkyMiles earned on purchases are not doubled. Only MQDs are eligible for the bonus. MQDs earned through this promotion will apply to the current Medallion qualification year, which runs through December 31, 2026.

Our Take
This is a great promotion if you’re working toward Delta Medallion status this year. Of course, you’ll need to carry the Delta Platinum Amex or Delta Business Platinum Amex to participate — and you’ll need to be among the Card Members targeted for the offer.
If you have one of these cards, it’s worth enrolling to earn 2X MQDs for every $20 spent, up from the usual 1X, through May 17, 2026. Registration is quick and easy, and the extra MQDs can provide a meaningful boost toward Delta Medallion status.
And while these cards aren’t really rewarding for everyday spending, this promotion makes them far more appealing, at least through mid-May.
