Marriott and Uber have teamed up again to offer bonus Marriott Bonvoy® points. But rather than bringing back a bonus for simply linking your accounts, this limited-time promotion is targeted at members who have already linked their accounts. By completing a couple of activities by July 7, 2026, you can earn 500 bonus points.
Here's how to participate.
Earn 500 Marriott Points After Completing These Uber Activities
Uber and Marriott launched their linking program in 2021 and have since offered members different ways to earn bonus Marriott Bonvoy points.
With the current promotion, members who have linked their accounts can earn 500 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points by completing both of the following activities by July 7, 2026:
- Take a qualifying ride: Complete an eligible ride booked with Uber Reserve or take an UberXL, Uber Black, Uber SUV, or Uber Comfort ride.
- Order through Uber Eats: Place either a food delivery order or a grocery order of at least $40 (excluding taxes, fees, and tips) through Uber Eats with an eligible merchant.
There's no need to register for this offer. If you've already linked your Marriott Bonvoy and Uber accounts, you're automatically eligible to participate.
Based on recent AwardWallet user redemptions, the 500 bonus Marriott points from this promotion are worth approximately $5.60. While that's not a huge windfall, the bonus comes on top of the Marriott points you'll already earn from the eligible ride and Uber Eats order.
How to Link Uber and Marriott Accounts
Haven't linked your Marriott and Uber accounts yet?
Simply open the Uber app, go to settings, and scroll down to where it says “Marriott Bonvoy” under “Rewards.” Tap on that, tap “Link Account”, and sign in to your Marriott Bonvoy account with your membership number or email. Then, wait for a confirmation that your accounts are linked.
Once your accounts are linked, you will start earning points on qualifying Uber Eats orders and premium rides with Uber.

Earning Marriott Points Through Uber
You can earn Marriott Bonvoy points when using Uber, especially when it comes to Uber Eats orders delivered to specific Marriott brands. Marriott devalued the earning rates in October 2024 and now earn as follows:
- 3 points per dollar spent on Uber premium rides in the U.S. (including Uber XL, Uber Black, Uber SUV, Uber Comfort, or Uber Reserve).
- 2 points per dollar spent on UberX Reserve rides.
- 2 points per dollar spent on Uber Eats when delivering to Residence Inn, TownePlace Suites, or Element hotels. Orders are subject to a minimum charge of $40; both restaurant and grocery delivery orders qualify.
- 1 point per dollar spent on all other Uber Eats restaurant and grocery orders of $40 or more (orders not delivered to the above Marriott brands).
Other Ways to Earn Marriott Points
Looking for other ways to top off your Marriott account? The good news is that Marriott is a transfer partner of a slew of bank and airline loyalty programs. The bad news: The modest value of Marriott points (around 1.12¢ per point) mean the transfer rates aren't ideal.

Our Take
It's nice to see Marriott offering bonus points for activities many travelers already use, like taking an Uber ride or ordering through Uber Eats.
While this promotion could be more rewarding, it should be an easy way to pick up 500 bonus points if you've linked your Marriott and Uber accounts and plan to complete both activities by July 7, 2026.
It's also worth mentioning that several hotel and airline rewards programs have teamed up with rideshare and food delivery apps. For example, you can choose between several types of points and miles for your Lyft rides. So make sure you're using the right one to maximize your earnings.
