You may not have heard of BWH Hotels, but you've definitely heard of the brands under its umbrella. BWH Hotels includes three hotel families: WorldHotels, Best Western Hotels & Resorts, and SureStay Hotels. Between these families, BWH Hotels offers 18 brands and more than 4,000 properties across 100 countries and territories.

Although these brands are affiliated with one another, they've historically operated under separate loyalty programs — until now. BWH Hotels has announced that its entire portfolio will unite under a single loyalty program and masterbrand, WorldHotels.

Although details on what the loyalty program will look like are still forthcoming, here's what we can expect from BWH Hotels.

BWH Hotels To Unite Global Portfolio Under the WorldHotels Brand

The new, combined WorldHotels portfolio will cover the full brand spectrum. There will be five categories of properties, ranging from longer stays to luxury brands:

  • Luxury & Lifestyle: WorldHotels Collection, WorldHotels Backdrop, Aiden
  • Upscale: Best Western Premier, BW Premier Collection
  • Everyday Travel: BW Signature Collection, Best Western Plus, GLō, Best Western
  • Value: SureStay® Hotels, SureStay Collection
  • Longer Stays: Executive Residency, @HOME by Best Western, SureStay Studio

WorldHotels Collection will include six subsets of brands: WorldHotels Luxury, WorldHotels Elite, WorldHotels Distinctive, WorldHotels Crafted, WorldHotels Backdrop, and WorldHotels Residences.

As you can see, the brands are quite eclectic, catering to every type of traveler.

The new WorldHotels Rewards loyalty program will boast a combined 70 million members. It is expected to launch on January 5, 2027, and BWH Hotels will release more information on November 16, 2026.

Here's what we know so far:

“The new program introduces three streamlined membership tiers, while protecting all current benefits such as status matching, member rates and points that never expire. Members will retain their existing points value and enjoy additional opportunities to earn points, while gaining access to a more connected global portfolio and simplified rewards experience.”

It appears the Best Western status match is here to stay, but the elite program itself may be getting an overhaul. Best Western has four elite tiers beyond the entry level, so we aren't sure how benefits will translate.

Unfortunately, that's about all we know. BWH Hotels has assured loyal travelers that it will preserve each property's local character and that it is building the new platform around local expertise. WorldHotels will also launch a new website and redesigned mobile app to make it easier to discover hotels across the portfolio.

Bottom Line

Beginning in early 2027, Best Western Rewards will be retired, and we will get to know a new, combined loyalty program: WorldHotels Rewards. We are eager to see what the new program looks like and how Best Western Rewards will be integrated. We'll update this post when we have more details on how to earn and redeem points in the new WorldHotels program.

Tip of The Day
You can choose to store all of your loyalty account passwords locally on your device, instead of storing them in our secure database. If you choose this option, you can (and should) periodically back them up into a file. In the event that you delete your cookies, these passwords will be deleted. With a proper backup, you'd be able to safely restore from that backup file.
