Benefits of Joining Student Privileges

After your student status has been verified, you can enjoy the following perks on Singapore Airlines:

Save 10% on airfare

Enrolled students can take a 10% discount on economy (all types) and select premium economy (lite and standard only) tickets booked with cash. You'll see the discount apply when you pick an eligible Singapore Airlines itinerary.

It's worth noting that Singapore Airlines is rarely the cheapest option, but the savings can make a deal that already works for you even sweeter.

Complimentary checked luggage

Depending on the cabin you're flying, you'll enjoy variable amounts of complimentary checked luggage:

  • Economy and premium economy
    • To/from the U.S. and Canada: Three pieces of luggage at 23kg (50 pounds) each
    • All other destinations: 88 pounds of luggage
  • Business class
    • To/from the U.S. and Canada: Three pieces of luggage at 32kg (70 pounds) each
    • All other destinations: 110 pounds of luggage

Change fee waiver

As a member of Student Privileges, your first booking change is free. Even if you're flying in economy class or on a Lite fare, it's completely free. If there are fare differences, though, note that you'll be on the hook for those.
