The U.S. Travel Association Daily Getaways kicks off today! After having a reduced presence during the pandemic, the typically-annual sale runs from Monday to Friday from July 18 through August 12, 2022.
From purchasing hotel points from 0.5 cents per point to suite stays in the Venetian Las Vegas, there is lots of exciting deal on offer. Let's dive into the first two weeks of deals.

- Offers run from Monday to Friday each week during the promotion.
- This year's promotion runs from July 18 through August 12, 2022.

Daily Getaways Weeks 1 and 2 Summary
Weeks 1 and 2 of the 2022 U.S. Travel Association Daily Getaways feature the following offers:
- July 18: Purchase IHG points for 0.5 cents per point.

July 18: Purchase IHG points at 0.5 cents per point
This can be a great deal if you want to boost your IHG points balance. You can purchase the following IHG points packages at 0.5 cents per point:
- 2,500 points
- 5,000 points
- 25,000 points
- 50,000 points
- 100,000 points
The maximum you can purchase of each offer is 5 packages, and the total number of packages that can be purchased by one IHG account number is 16.
While buying IHG points at 0.5 cents per point is good value, it is by no means unique. Regular IHG buy points promotions let you purchase points at that price. So, don't feel like you need to stock up for mid- to-long-term.
July 19: Book Accor suites
Purchase a maximum of 1 package each from the following Accor stays:
- 4 Ovation Rewards certificates each can be redeemed at the Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile for a one-night stay for two in a Junior Suite, including breakfast.
- 4 Ovation Rewards certificates each can be redeemed at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel, Seattle, for a one-night stay for two in an Executive Suite, including breakfast.
- 4 Ovation Rewards certificates each can be redeemed at the Sofitel New York for a one-night stay for two in a Standard Room, including breakfast.
- 4 Ovation Rewards certificates each can be redeemed at the Fairmont Century Plaza for a one-night stay for two in a Suite, including breakfast.
July 20: Purchase Hilton Honors points at 0.5 cents per point
Purchasing Hilton Honors at 0.5 cents per point is less than AwardWallet's valuation of 0.61 cents per point. However, there are regular promotions offering points at the same price. The Daily Getaways packages available are:
- 30,000 points — maximum of 3 of these packages.
- 100,000 points — maximum of 1 package.
- 250,000 points — maximum of 1 package
You can purchase a total of 5 Hilton Honors points packages for a total of 440,000 Hilton Honors points for a total of $2,200.
July 21: Purchase Wyndham Rewards points at 1.16 cents per point
You can purchase up to 2 packages of 15,000 Wyndham Rewards at 1.16 cents per point. AwardWallet users have gotten 1.18 cents per point from recent Wyndham redemptions, and Wyndham periodically sells points for under 1 cent each. So, this deal is not going to set the world alight. Unless you are in need of Wyndham points, we recommend passing on this one.
July 22: Purchase Best Western Rewards points at 0.55 cents per point
You can purchase up to 5 packages of 10,000 Best Western Rewards points at 0.55 cents per point. There is only one package of 10,000 points available. So, the maximum you can pick up using the promotion is 50,000 points.
July 25: Purchase Universal Orlando packages
The following Universal Orlando Packages are available through Daily Getaways:
- Two 3-Park 3-Day Park-to-Park Tickets to Universal Studios Florida, Universal's Islands of Adventure, and Universal's Volcano Bay Water Theme Park. You can purchase a maximum of 2 packages. Redeemable from September 1, 2022, through August 31, 2023
- 2-Park 1-Day Non-Private VIP Experience with a theme park admission for up to five (5) people to Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure. Maximum purchase of 1 package. Redeemable September 1, 2022, through August 31, 2023
- 4-Day, 3-Night hotel stay, round-trip airfare, and 3-Day admission to 3 theme parks for 4 people. Redeemable September 1, 2022, through December 15, 2023, excluding blackout dates.
July 26: Purchase Choice Privileges points from 0.52 cents per point
You can purchase the following Choice Privileges points packages through Daily Getaways:
- 14,000 Choice Privileges points for $84 (0.60 cents per point).
- 28,000 Choice Privileges points for $155 (0.55 cents per point).
- 42,000 Choice Privileges points for $220 (0.52 cents per point).
- 55,000 Choice Privileges points for $285 (0.52 cents per point).
This is a particularly good deal. Choice Privilege points generally aren't sold for less than 0.7 cents per point — even during the best buy Choice points promotions. We value Choice points at 0.6¢ each, but you can certainly get much more value than this from some redemptions.
You can purchase up to 4 packages of each offer. If you want to maximize the promotion, you can purchase up to 16 points packages to get a total of 556,000 Choice points for $2,976 (0.54 cents per point).
July 27: Purchase Marriott Bonvoy eGift cards with a 20% discount
Daily Getaways is offering the following discounted Marriott Bonvoy eGift cards:
- Purchase a $100 Marriott Bonvoy eGift card for $80 — maximum purchase of 3.
- Purchase a $250 Marriott Bonvoy eGift card for $200 — maximum purchase of 2.
- Purchase a $500 Marriott Bonvoy eGift card for $400 — maximum purchase of 1.
July 28: Book Venetian Suites
You can purchase from the following tw0 Venetian Suite packages:
- A certificate for three nights in a Grand King Suite in The Venetian Tower at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. Maximum of 1 package. Redeemable through December 27, 2023, excluding blackout dates.
- A certificate for three nights in a Grand One Bedroom Suite in The Palazzo Tower at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas. Maximum of 1 package. Redeemable through December 27, 2023, excluding blackout dates.
July 29: Purchase World of Hyatt points from 1.2 cents per point
Three World of Hyatt points packages are available to purchase.
- Purchase 30,000 World of Hyatt points — maximum purchase of 1 package.
- Purchase 50,000 World of Hyatt points — maximum purchase of 1 package.
- Purchase 80,000 World of Hyatt points — maximum purchase of 1 package.
A World of Hyatt account number can receive up to 4 points packages using this promotion. This offer is one of the highlights of this year's deals. Currently, World of Hyatt points are valued at 2.22 cents per point, making the purchase price of 1.2 cents per point an absolute steal. The trouble is, so few packages are available that they will likely sell out in seconds again this year.
A Note About Purchasing U.S. Travel Association Daily Getaways
If you are interested in an offer, remember you will need to be quick. The U.S. Travel Association Daily Getaways are fantastic value and are snapped up very quickly from the minute they go live. The best deals can disappear in a matter of minutes or even seconds.
So, if there is a deal you want, make sure to be ready to snap it up the minute it goes live. This is especially true with some of the top hotel points deals and vacation packages that have a very small quantity and are difficult to snap up quickly.
Purchasing Hotel Points Through Daily Getaways
If you want to purchase hotel points, there are some great Daily Getaways in weeks 1-2 — especially on World of Hyatt points. You may also consider using the U.S. Travel Association Daily Getaways if you have already reached your annual cap on hotel points purchases. These point purchases do not count towards most brands' annual point purchase limit.
Maximizing your Credit Card Earnings When Purchasing Daily Getaways
Daily Getaways tend to code as travel on your credit card statement as the U.S. Travel Association sells them.
That said, you will want to use a credit card that will give you a category bonus multiplier for your travel purchases. Our Take
The annual U.S. Travel Association Daily Getaways can be a source of great value if you are lucky enough to snap up some of the deals. Although, some Daily Getaways deals are better than others.
Deals like the World of Hyatt points, Universal Orlando packages, and Accor suites are exceptional value. And there are only a few deals available. So, they will be snapped up in the first few seconds of the promotion. However, if you are looking to stock up on hotel points for an upcoming trip, these Daily Getaways promotions are the perfect opportunity to fill up your balances.
