Capital One’s premium airport lounges have made waves for their stylish design and amenities. But with the debut of its Capital One Landing concept in now two different airports, the issuer is taking a different approach — one that puts food front and center.

Unlike traditional lounges that focus on workspaces and light bites, Capital One Landing is a hybrid lounge-restaurant experience curated by celebrity chef José Andrés. It’s an elevated dining space you can enjoy before takeoff.

So, how do these Landings differ from Capital One Lounges, and are they worth visiting? Here's what travelers need to know.

What Are Capital One Landing Lounges?

The Capital One Landing lounge concept is similar in design to the issuer’s standard lounges, but with a major distinction. These lounges function as both restaurants and lounges, and are built in partnership with celebrity chef José Andrés.

When describing the collaboration, Andrés said his goal was to blend “the Spanish tapas way of eating” with “the bounty of American farms and traditions.” The result is a premium dining experience that makes Landing lounges unique.

While other airport lounges also feature chef-inspired menus (for example, American Express partners with local chefs at The Centurion® Lounge and American Airlines collaborates with the James Beard Foundation for its Flagship Lounges), Capital One is (for now) the only issuer that makes the culinary partnership the centerpiece of the experience.

At Capital One Landing lounges, travelers can enjoy chef-curated meals onsite — all while enjoying most of the benefits of a typical lounge environment.

Capital One Landing at Washington National Airport

The first Capital One Landing lounge opened at Washington National Airport (DCA) in November 2024. It’s located in Terminal 2, after security, near the entrance to Concourse D. Since the terminal’s concourses are connected airside, travelers departing from Concourses B, C, D, and E can all access the lounge.

The lounge spans 5,483 square feet and includes a tapas bar, made-to-order plates that you can order via QR code. A sample of menu items includes:

  • Eggs Benedict
  • Labneh cone (labneh, caviar, and lemon)
  • Carne asada con mojo verde
  • Croquetas (daily chef’s selection)

Additionally, the DCA Landing features an “On the Fly” counter located outside the lounge and open to all travelers. The counter offers snacks, beverages, and more. While these items aren’t complimentary like the offerings inside the Landing, Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card and Capital One Venture X Business cardholders still receive 50% off food and drinks there.

In our opinion, the Capital One Landing lounge is by far the best lounge for those looking for an elevated dining experience at Washington National Airport. However, for travelers seeking a more typical lounge experience with ample room for work or relaxation, both the American Airlines Admirals Club in Concourse E and the American Express Centurion Lounge DCA are solid choices if you're eligible for access.

Capital One Landing at New York LaGuardia Airport

The Capital One Landing at New York LaGuardia (LGA) opened on February 18, 2026. This lounge was three years in the making, and it’s easy to see why. Located in Terminal B near the skybridge to Gates B11–B30, the space spans an impressive 12,500 square feet.

This outpost has room for nearly 200 travelers. Guests can order made-to-order tapas via QR code and have dishes delivered directly to their tables — all prepared in a 2,500-square-foot commercial-grade kitchen.

The menu includes several dishes similar to those at the DCA Landing, such as olive oil pancakes, chicken and béchamel croquetas, and carne asada with mojo verde sauce.

Beyond the direct-to-table tapas offerings, travelers can visit one of two bars for handcrafted cocktails, beer, wine, and coffee. You can also grab additional Spanish-inspired dishes from a display case.

This lounge has also adopted Capital One’s “Daily Rituals” offerings, meaning roving carts circulate throughout the day with specialty bites and drinks. Expect items like caviar cones, goat cheese-infused tomato cones, tableside martinis, and more.

If you visit this Capital One Landing, you’ll quickly understand why Capital One calls it its flagship location.

How to Access Capital One Landings

Like many higher-end restaurants, the Capital One Landings at New York LaGuardia and Washington National accept reservations. You can make them through the Capital One mobile app. While reservations aren’t required for entry, they’re the best way to ensure there’s space when you’re traveling through an airport with a Capital One Landing.

You’ll need to be traveling on a same-day ticket on any airline, and access is limited to within three hours of departure.

So, how do you actually qualify for entry in the first place? Let’s take a look at the eligibility requirements.

Capital One Venture X and Venture X Business cardholders

The best way to access Capital One Landings is by carrying the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card or the Capital One Venture X Business.

Each card provides complimentary access to Capital One Lounges and Landing locations for the primary cardholder, plus entry to more than 1,300 additional lounges through participating Priority Pass™ lounges (enrollment required).

Here’s a quick summary of each card’s access policies for primary cardholders, authorized users, and guests. Keep in mind that guest policies changed in February 2026.

Bottom Line

Capital One Landing lounges offer something you won’t find in most airport lounges: a dedicated culinary experience. By partnering with José Andrés and leaning into restaurant-style dining, Capital One has carved out a niche that sets these spaces apart.

While they may not be ideal for travelers looking to spread out and relax for hours, Capital One Landing locations really shine when you want a quick, high-quality meal in a premium setting — especially when access is free or discounted with the right Capital One credit card.
