Air Canada Aeroplan is offering one promotion after another lately. Currently, Aeroplan members can earn up to 10,000 bonus points on a round-trip flight from Canada when booking before September 12, 2023.

There is a very narrow booking window, and the number of points you will earn depends on your destination and fare booked. The promotion isn't targeted, but you'll need to register for these Air Canada promotions before booking.

Here are the details on the promotions and how to maximize your bonus points.

Up to 10,000 Bonus Points Promotion

Update: Booking and registration window closed on September 29. If you registered and booked your flights by this date, you can travel through May 31, 2024.

Air Canada 10,000 Bonus Points Promotion

While this promotion isn't as good as the last offer to earn up to 25,000 bonus points when flying to New Zealand, but at least this one has the option of flying anywhere to earn bonus points.

Valid travel dates are September 19, 2023–May 31, 2024. The usual rule applies that the round-trip flight or the first one-way flight must depart from Canada.

There's good news if you want to earn some extra Air Canada Aeroplan points and have plans to visit New Zealand. Through August 29, 2023, you can earn up to 25,000 bonus points on a round-trip flight or two one-way flights from Canada to New Zealand. Valid travel dates are between October 29, 2023 and March 27, 2024. You will earn 10,000 bonus points on eligible economy fares or 25,000 bonus points on business-class or premium fares.

This promotion is valid only on flights utilizing Air Canada's route from Vancouver to Auckland, New Zealand, though you may connect from another Canadian airport. If you're booking two one-way flights, only the first flight must depart from Canada. The second flight can be in either direction. The promotion states that the departing airport must be in Canada. However, members may be able to earn points flying with Air Canada from the U.S. via Vancouver to New Zealand. (This is not explicitly confirmed in the terms.)

Make sure to register for this promotion and book your flights on the Air Canada website before August 29, 2023 to qualify for bonus earnings.

It is not clear in the terms and conditions whether you can take advantage of this promotion more than once. However, I can't imagine a lot of people will be making two round-trip visits to New Zealand in the next couple of weeks.

Our Take

We've seen one interesting Air Canada promotion after another this year, with some better than others. This is one of the better promotions, as you can earn bonus points by traveling anywhere you want — not just one specific destination for the offer. If you're interested in this promotion, be sure to book by the deadline.

  • Registration broken. Click button, no response.

  • Good advise!

  • Air Canada’s customer service is very bad. I’ve opened cases with them for delayed flight, missing luggage, etc. No response from them after over 1 year. No phone number to talk to customer service agent for these cases.

I have been planning on a European trip for my wife and myself for months now and this seems like a pretty fair deal for us to use the Aeroplan points and bonus certificates I have earned using my Aeroplan credit card.
