If there's a reason for all the points and miles madness we write about at AwardWallet, it's to ensure your loyalty to travel brands is rewarding. That might mean redeeming your hard-earned points and miles for a business-class flight or finally cashing in that suite upgrade at an incredible property you've looked forward to visiting.
Even better is when your airline loyalty is rewarded with a “double-dip” in a hotel loyalty program — and vice versa. A double-dip means earning bonus miles in a separate loyalty program for money spent on your primary travel brand.
Let's check out what airline-hotel partnerships offer double-dip opportunities.
Page Contents
Marriott Bonvoy
Marriott Bonvoy stands out among hotel loyalty programs, thanks in part to its 2016 acquisition of Starwood Preferred Guest (SPG). One of SPG’s most valuable perks — transfers to airline programs — survived the acquisition.
Members can transfer Marriott points to 40+ airline partners (most at a 3:1 ratio) and still receive SPG’s 5,000-mile bonus when transferring 60,000 Marriott points to most airline partners.
Your World Rewards with Emirates
Marriott and Emirates offer a double dip for elite members through the Your World Rewards program.

- Marriott Bonvoy Gold elites and above earn 3X Marriott points per U.S. dollar spent on Emirates flights (in addition to Skywards miles earned for the flight). However, flights must be credited to a Skywards account.
- Marriott Bonvoy Platinum elites and above get priority check-in and boarding when flying Emirates.
- Emirates Silver elites and above earn 1X Skywards Mile per U.S. dollar spent at Marriott properties.
- Emirates Gold and Platinum members get benefits at Marriotts, including 4 p.m. late checkout, priority check-in, and complimentary in-room Wi-Fi.
The 4 p.m. late checkout perk is particularly valuable since it typically requires earning Marriott Platinum status (50 nights per year).

Marriott RewardsPlus with United Airlines
Marriott’s extensive partnership with United Airlines, known as RewardsPlus, offers reciprocal elite benefits and transfer bonuses:
- Marriott Bonvoy Titanium elites (75 nights/year) get complimentary United Silver status, which includes free checked bags, priority boarding, and complimentary first-class upgrades.
- Marriott-to-United transfers get an enhanced bonus: Instead of the usual 5,000 bonus miles when transferring 60,000 Marriott points, United transfers receive a 10,000-mile bonus — yielding 30,000 United miles for 60,000 Marriott points.
- United elites can convert United miles to Marriott points at a 1:1 ratio, though it’s generally not the best redemption value.
- United Gold and higher receive Marriott Gold status, which includes bonus points, enhanced room upgrades, and 2 p.m. late checkout.

Reciprocal Marriott status match with Singapore KrisFlyer
Marriott’s partnership with Singapore Airlines allows members to double dip on status:
- Marriott Platinum and above receive a match to Singapore Silver status for 12 months. Silver status provides free checked bags, priority check-in, and priority boarding.
- Taking four Singapore Airlines flights within six months upgrades members to Singapore Gold status (Star Alliance Gold) for another 12 months.
- Singapore Gold and above receive Marriott Gold status through the partnership.
This is a one-time status match opportunity, so you can't take advantage of it multiple times.
Preferred Partnership with Air Canada
Marriott Bonvoy and Air Canada Aeroplan members can match their elite status between programs, which means reciprocal benefits for travelers who hold status in one but not the other.
- Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Elite and Titanium Elite members can match to Aeroplan 25K status, which includes complimentary preferred seats, priority airport check-in and standby, complimentary checked baggage allowance, and priority boarding.
- Aeroplan Super Elite, 75K, and 50K members can match to Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status, which offers 25% bonus points, 2 p.m. late checkout (based on availability), enhanced in-room internet, a Gold welcome gift, and preferred room upgrades when available.
Marriott Bonvoy and Air Canada Aeroplan members can also transfer points between programs, as follows:
- Aeroplan points transfer to Marriott Bonvoy points at a 1:1 ratio — in increments of 500 points.
- Marriott Bonvoy points transfer to Aeroplan points at a 3:1 ratio.

Accor Live Limitless (ALL)
Accor Hotels is not a brand U.S.-based travelers are too familiar with, but those from Europe and abroad know it well. The brand features several unique partnerships with airlines that members should know about.
Before we dive into Accor's partnerships, note that you can only indulge in one of these partnerships at a time. You can't earn points in all the below programs at once.
Qatar Airways Privilege Club
Accor Live Limitless members (with linked accounts) can earn 1X Avios per €1 spent at Accor properties while also earning Accor points.
Additionally, Accor elite members can get an instant status upgrade with Qatar Airways Privilege Club, as follows:
- Accor ALL Gold = Privilege Club Silver
- Accor ALL Platinum = Privilege Club Gold
- Accor ALL Diamond = Privilege Club Platinum
Similarly, Qatar Privilege Club elites can receive elite status with Accor after their first international stay.

Air France/KLM Flying Blue
Flying Blue members can earn 1X Flying Blue Mile per €1 spent at Accor properties while still earning Accor points. Members also earn 1X Accor points for every €2 spent on eligible Air France and KLM flights. You'll need to link your accounts to take advantage of this offer.
Azul VoeAzul
Accor and the Brazilian airline Azul also offer a double-dipping opportunity. After linking your Azul account to your ALL account, members will earn the following rewards on eligible stays and flights:
- Earn 1 Azul point for every €2.50 spent at participating Accor properties
- Earn 1 ALL Reward point for every €7.50 spent on eligible Azul flights
You can also transfer points between the two brands, but we don't recommend doing so unless you're just short of a redemption.
- Convert 10,000 Azul points to 1,000 Accor Reward points
- Convert 2,000 Accor Reward points to 1,000 Azul points
Qantas Frequent Flyer
Accor and the Australian airline Qantas also offer a partnership. After linking your two accounts, you'll earn 3X Qantas points per Australian dollar spent on stays at participating properties in the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia.
In contrast to the other airline partnerships Accor has, you'll need Accor ALL Gold or Qantas Frequent Flyer Gold to earn 1X Reward points for every 4 Australian dollars spent.

World of Hyatt and American Airlines
Previously, Hyatt and American Airlines elite members could double dip on stays and flights. As of 2025, this is no longer the case. Instead, Hyatt elites can now select American Airlines perks as Milestone Rewards — and AAdvantage® elites can select World of Hyatt perks through Loyalty Choice Rewards.

Final Thoughts
As you can see, there are a lot of double-dipping opportunities available through a wide variety of airline and hotel partnerships. By leveraging your loyalty in one program, you can hopefully “double-dip” in another and stack more rewards with little effort.
Even if you don't participate in all the aforementioned programs, you may still find value in registering. That way, if you book a stay through one participating program, for example, you can earn bonus miles in that program's airline partner — or vice versa.
