With the Transport Administration Agency adding new airlines on a regular basis, the TSA Pre✓® program now numbers 54 airlines. The expansion is ideal for active flyers, but it can be confusing whether the airline you are traveling on is partnered with TSA Precheck.

Locations with TSA Precheck Facilities
There are TSA Precheck Facilities at many airports across the US; you can find an interactive map with all participating airports on the TSA website. We recently published an in-depth analysis of all the different ways to speed your way through security at airports. However, one of the easiest ways to get TSA Precheck is through your credit card.
Credit Cards That Provide TSA Precheck Fee Credit as a Benefit
The credit cards below provide a statement credit for the TSA Precheck enrollment fee as a regular perk. If you are a frequent traveler, you should consider one of these cards, since the Precheck fee alone is worth $85. If you're an international traveler, you might consider instead picking up Global Entry, which provides all TSA Precheck benefits, and is available as a benefit of these cards if you opt for it instead of TSA Precheck.
For rates and fees of the cards mentioned in this post, please visit the following links: Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant™ American Express® Card (Rates & Fees), The Business Platinum Card® from American Express (Rates & Fees), and The Platinum Card® from American Express (Rates & Fees)

I’m flying out of Newark on porter airlines but they don’t participate in the tsa-precheck program
Is there anyway to at least avoid waiting in regular security line by showing card?
Thanks in advance
Unfortunately, no.
Strangely, an AeroMexico employee at LAX told me recently that they do not support TSA PreCheck, but she did not know much about the program, so perhaps she was misinformed…
Good news for us since we just booked on Emirates!
It is very usefull, in particular when you have a connection to continue your travel in USA
Any idea how long it takes to get Sentri? We applied 3 weeks ago and still haven’t heard from then. Driving to Rosarito this weekend.. 🙁
I haven’t registered for the program, but get the precheck status assigned to me quite often. I’m planning on signing up soon so I can get precheck all the time when available.
One correction to your article… In talking about the credit cards. It’s not an $85 per year fee, it’s $85 for 5 years. So the value of the credit would be split over 5 years.
Slym, thanks for catching that – typo on my part. My apologies.
Anyone know how long it takes for the Global Entry cost to be reimbursed by Citi Prestige?
Based on my experience, one posted within the same statement, the other posted after the statement closed — so its a bit of YMMV.
If I have precheck do others in my party (wife, kids) also get it for free or get to tag along with me?
Per https://www.tsa.gov/travel/frequently-asked-questions:
I am traveling with my family; can they also use the TSA Pre✓® lane?
Children ages 12 and younger may use the TSA Pre✓® lane when traveling with a parent or guardian who has the indicator on their boarding pass. Travelers 13 and older who do not have a TSA Pre✓® boarding pass must go through standard security lanes or apply.
Good to see international airlines participating on this.
Hope to use this soon. Glad to hear there are more airlines participating.
Would have never thought how much time does TSA PRE save. Got it through United and really enjoy the benefit.
Can anyone please explain how long the interview process is for Global Entry? Is it really the same interview procedure as TSA Precheck? Thanks for any insight!
Based on my experience and that of my family and friends you can expect the interview process to be about 15 minutes. If you’ve traveled extensively internationally or to countries that the United States views as a potential security risk you should expect a little more scrutiny.
Just signed up for this. Looking forward to skipping the lines!
For some reason, I always thought Pre-check is based on airport and not airlines. Thanks for the schooling!
I had no idea it was carrier specific! I thought it was a program supported by TSA and not dependent on a certain airline.
I wish more European carriers would join!
I got pre check about 6 months ago and love it. I’m flying BA in October, hopefully they’ll support it by then.
I’ve had instances where boarding passes printed in other countries that include a US leg do not have the TSA pre check printedon the pass. After I clear customs, I just check in again at the US airport and print new boarding passes that include the pre check on them.
I flew AA twice in the past week. I got TSA pre-check both times and I have not registered for the program.
Bam! Great news I am doing the Air Canada trip this year.
Great to have the list as to which airline participate. I fly with a number of different airlines, and never know what to expect at the airport.
I will have my first experience with this in April.
Last time that I flew COPA, I was told that they were working on it, FWIW.
