The Business Platinum Card® from American Express offers card members a lot of value — especially if you can take advantage of its credits. But for the past few months (and the better part of the last calendar year), there's been a notice plastered to the Business Platinum Card‘s application page that three key credits were scheduled to end.

However, one of these credits was extended indefinitely; the other two will look different come July 1, 2025. Here's what we know.

American Express Extends the Indeed Credit, Amends How Adobe and Dell Credits Will Work

The Business Platinum Card offers three enrollment-required partner-company credits to help offset the card's $695 annual fee (Rates & Fees).

However, since early 2024, Amex has attached a “through” date to these credits, scheduling them to end on December 31, 2024. In late 2024, the issuer quietly adjusted the date for each credit to June 30, 2025. And then afterward, Amex pulled the date on the Indeed credit; it's sticking around indefinitely.

But for the Adobe and Dell credits, well, we now know their future. Effective July 1, 2025, how these credits work will change:

  • Adobe
    • Cardholders will earn a $250 annual credit after spending $600 or more directly with Adobe (on all purchases) through its U.S. website.
  • Dell
    • Cardholders will get a $150 annual credit for purchases through Dell’s U.S. website — plus a $1,000 bonus credit if they spend $5,000 or more in a calendar year.

These two benefits will become calendar year benefits come 2026.

Enrollment is required for select Amex benefits.

How to double dip on the Adobe and Dell credits this year

Part of what makes these changes unique is the opportunity to double dip before they take effect on July 1. Cardholders can use the current $200 Dell credit (valid for purchases made between January 1 and June 30) and this year’s $150 Adobe credit, then still qualify for the new credits in the second half of the year.

Final Thoughts

There’s something to be said for clarity — and after months of uncertainty, it’s good to finally know what’s happening with the Business Platinum Card come July 1, 2025.

The Dell benefit is taking a hit in value unless your business spends heavily on eligible purchases, in which case the new structure could actually work out (you'll get a bigger statement credit). The Adobe credit will get more versatile; you'll be able to use it for more than just annual prepaid business plan purchases. However, you'll have to spend quite a bit to unlock it.

Depending on your business — these changes might come across as positive or bend towards the negative. But no matter what, at least Amex has provided clarity on the long-term state of these benefits. And we can appreciate the opportunity to double dip, too.
