We've written a lot about Bilt Rewards as Bilt Points are one of the most valuable transferrable currencies out there. In addition to its 21 transfer partners, Bilt offers its own travel booking portal.

Functioning like many other travel portals run by credit card issuers, Bilt members can earn points on travel bookings made through the Bilt Rewards Travel Portal as well as redeem points at a set rate. Let's dig into all the details of the Bilt Travel Portal.

What Is the Bilt Travel Portal?

First, it's important to know that the Bilt Travel Portal is run in-house by Bilt, but was once run by Expedia. As Bilt makes the transition to its home-built booking engine, options like rental cars, activities, and packages, are not available to book at the time of writing.

To start your booking, you'll log into your Bilt account and visit the “Rewards” tab. Under “Travel Rewards,” you'll see a booking engine available for hotels, flights, and BLADE flights.

At this time, you can only book hotels and flights through the Bilt Travel Portal — in addition to BLADE flights on the East Coast. Unlike many online travel agencies (OTAs), the Bilt Travel Portal currently doesn't have package functionality, so you'll have to book flights and hotels separately.

Bilt members will earn 1x Bilt Points on flights booked through the Bilt Travel Portal, and 2x Points on hotels, so long as the credit card used for the booking is linked to your Bilt Rewards account. And if you happen to use The Bilt Mastercard® (Rates & Fees), you'll earn 2x Points on travel booked through the Bilt Travel Portal — as long as you use your card the required 5 times each statement period.

It's also worth noting that if you pay with cash and Bilt Points, you won't earn any additional Bilt Points on your travel booking. Also, since this is a non-direct hotel booking, you're unlikely to earn hotel points or elite credit for your lodging bookings through the platform — even when using cash instead of points.

Booking a flight through the Bilt Travel Portal

We'll break down the process of making a flight booking with Bilt. To start, I searched for a flight in October 2025 between Phoenix (PHX) and Los Angeles (LAX) for one passenger. When the search was complete, I had several flight options available for me to book, including low-cost carriers like Frontier and Southwest Airlines.

To see basic economy fares, I had to select the “Show basic fares” button at the top of the search. That option returned a few more reasonably priced results.

I ran a similar search through Expedia to see how the two compared. Bilt's travel portal returned cheaper flight options than the OTA.

Even more interestingly, the search results in the Bilt Travel Portal were cheaper than Southwest's own website!

In the Bilt flight search and on the booking page, you'll clearly see that you'll earn 1x Bilt Points per $1 spent on the flight. Again, this is in addition to any redeemable miles you might earn from the airline program you credit the flight to, plus any elite miles, and any points you earn on your credit card.

Bilt also automatically inputs your profile information to make booking as easy as possible. You may also book travel for others through the portal.

Redeeming Bilt Points for flights

You can also redeem Bilt Points for your flight through the Bilt Travel Portal. For my sample flight, it'll cost me 3,864 Bilt Points for my $48 flight, or 1.25 cents per point. That's well below the 2.02¢-cent average value AwardWallet members are redeeming Bilt Points for.

And, since Bilt added Southwest as a transfer partner earlier this year, you're actually better off transferring Bilt Points to Southwest to book an award flight.

Keep in mind, you'll be responsible for $5.60 in taxes and fees with your Southwest award redemption. Booking through the Bilt Travel Portal allows you to use points to cover your entire purchase, including any taxes and fees.

It's also possible to pay for part of your flight with Bilt Points, and part with cash through the portal, still at that 1.25-cent per point redemption rate. However, you won't earn any Bilt Points for the transaction, per the program's terms and conditions.

Booking hotels with the Bilt Travel Portal

Booking hotels is also possible in the Bilt Travel Portal. You can book all kinds of hotels, but you also have access to Bilt's luxury hotel collection program (and its associated benefits) if you have Gold or Platinum status. This program is referred to as “Home Away from Home.”

And everything is booked the same way. On the main page, I entered my destination and dates of travel, as well as the number of travelers for the booking. My search returned many results, sorted initially by “Rating” and only hotels three stars and above.  You'll have to deselect that option, as well as sort by lowest price, to see the most budget-friendly options available in the search results.

When comparing the search to the lowest-priced options on Expedia, many more options are populated, including HomeStay and hostel options.

While some could see this as a bit misleading, Bilt is filtering options to better the travel experience for its members. Many options populated by Expedia are less-desirable lodging options, which Bilt may wish to avoid. But that means the lowest-priced options are still higher if booking through the Bilt Travel Portal.

When searching for hotels in the Bilt Travel Portal, you'll see the price in both cash and Bilt Points, in addition to the different rooms and cancellation options.

Like flights, you'll earn Bilt Points on cash hotel bookings. Members earn 2x Bilt Points per $1 spent on hotels, or you can redeem for points at a 1.25 cent per point redemption rate.

Thus, you might find it better to book hotels through the Bilt Travel Portal instead of transferring points to certain Bilt hotel partners and booking from there. For example, if you can get 1.25 cents per point through the portal, but a 1:1 transfer to Hilton Honors yields an average of 0.59¢ per point (based on AwardWallet user redemptions), the portal option could give you more value.

Book your BLADE flight with the Bilt Travel Portal

Bilt also has a deep partnership with BLADE, which operates helicopter transfers between Manhattan and airports in the New York City area, Monaco, and Nice, as well as other seasonal offerings.

You can book BLADE transfers directly in the Bilt Travel Portal as well as redeem any discounts or free flights you might have from Bilt status. Bilt Silver members and above receive 10% off BLADE flights, and Bilt Platinum members receive one complimentary BLADE flight each year.

Bilt returned one option for my 6:30 AM arrival at JFK in my example.

On the next page, Bilt offers three different BLADE fares, with differing cancellation policies and luggage inclusions.

Bilt's booking engine also offers several up-charges, like luggage delivery, meet and greet, and black car service. You'll then input your passenger and payment details on the booking screen, as well as your weight (this is a helicopter, after all!).

Final Thoughts

The Bilt Travel Portal represents another option to keep Bilt Members in the Bilt ecosystem, while delivering them Bilt Points for their loyalty. While Bilt Points are no doubt valuable, when comparing bonus point earning to other bank portals, it's hard to recommend the Bilt Travel Portal over a more robust option like Chase Travel, if that's an option for you.

Additionally, the inability to book rental cars, packages, and other activities from the booking engine not only limits members' options to earn Bilt Points but also requires an extra step in the travel planning process. No doubt, a future Bilt Travel Portal will increase functionality, but for now, it's best to redeem your Bilt Points by transferring them to one of the program's many travel partners.
