For travel booked on August 8, 2025 (today!) and flown between October 26 and December 10, 2025, United is offering discounted economy rates to Bangkok (BKK) and Ho Chi Minh City (SGN). You can book a one-way ticket for as few as 30,000 MileagePlus miles each way.

United Award Sale: One-way Flights to Thailand and Vietnam From 30K Miles
Today's United flash sale covers United's upcoming routes to Bangkok (BKK) and Ho Chi Minh (SGN). Eligible cardholders can book flights to either destination for just 30,000 United Mileage Plus miles each way.

United's only nonstop from the continental U.S. to the Philippines is flight #189 from San Francisco (SFO) to Manila (MNL). However, as long as you originate in the continental U.S., you can fly to the Philippines through United's other routes:
- Koror (ROR) to Manila (MNL)
- Tokyo Narita (NRT) to Cebu (CEB)

Finding award availability
To find availability, your best bet is to use United's 30-day calendar for a bird's-eye view of all dates with cheaper pricing. Across United's routes, cardholder-exclusive availability is fairly consistent from now until the end of the travel period.
Thursday's Deal: One-way Flights to the Philippines From 40K Miles
On Thursday, August 7, United offered one-way awards to Manila and Cebu in the Philippines for 40,000 miles each way. United serves Manila directly from San Francisco (SFO), but you'd need to connect through Tokyo Narita (NRT) to get to Cebu (CEB).

Wednesday's Deal: One-way Flights to China and Hong Kong From 40K Miles
On Wednesday, August 6, United offered one-way awards to Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong for 40,000 miles each way. United flies to all three destinations from both Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO).

Tuesday's Deal: One-way Flights to Taiwan From 40K Miles
On Tuesday, August 5, United offered one-way fares to Taipei and Kaohsiung, Taiwan for 40,000 miles each way. United operates direct flights from San Francisco (SFO) to Taipei (TPE), Guam (GUM) to Taipei (TPE), and Tokyo Narita (NRT) to Kaohsiung (KHH).

Monday's Deal: One-way Flights to Tahiti From 30K Miles
On Monday, August 4, United offered one-way fares to Tahiti for 30,000 miles each way. United only flies nonstop to Papeete, Tahiti (PPT) from San Francisco (SFO). So, you needed to fly through SFO to take advantage of this promotion.

How To Earn United Miles
This award sale is exclusive to United cardholders, so you won't be able to book discounted United award space with a currency other than United MileagePlus miles. If you're short on miles, converting transferable points to United miles is the best way to build your balance quickly. Presently, the following points transfer to United:

Final Thoughts
Flying from the U.S. all the way to Asia can be a slog, particularly in economy. But this United award sale at least makes it cheaper to do so. Through August 8, 2025, you can book and travel to Thailand or Vietnam for as few as 30,000 MileagePlus miles in the economy each way.
