Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards is out with a new offer for a whopping up-to-60% discount on award flights to six international destinations. These featured destinations change each quarter, and this month’s lineup includes routes to Spring-inspired cities across Europe and Japan.
Here's everything you need to know about this offer, which has a short booking window.
Save up to 60% on These Alaska Airlines Award Tickets
This Alaska Airlines Global Getaways promotion discounts award flights (by up to 60%!) to six destinations, with one-way awards available at the following starting rates:
- Helsinki, Finland (HEL) — Starting at 17,500 points
- Copenhagen, Denmark (CPH) — Starting at 20,000 points
- Vienna, Austria (VIE) — Starting at 20,000 points
- Hokkaido, Japan (CTS) — Starting at 20,000 points
- Munich, Germany (MUC) — Starting at 30,000 points
- Prague, Czech Republic (PRG) — Starting at 30,000 points
If you're interested, you'll need to book soon. The booking window runs from February 17 through February 27, 2026. The travel window is slightly longer, covering trips from February 27 through May 12, 2026.
There are also blackout dates to keep in mind. Discounted awards aren't available from March 18 through April 21, 2026, which excludes a rather significant portion of the overall travel window.

How good is this Alaska Airlines award discount?
In our book, just about any discount is a good discount. After all, you're saving points and miles, which is a good thing. And Alaska Airlines' Global Getaways offer is one of the better deals we've seen on Atmos Rewards award tickets in quite some time.
The main catch is that promotional pricing applies to economy class only, which might be a dealbreaker depending on how you prefer to travel. That said, we're seeing some excellent deals.
For instance, you can fly from New York (JFK) to Sapporo, Japan (CTS) for just 20,000 Atmos Rewards points plus about $19 in taxes and fees. Atmos Rewards uses distance-based pricing for partner awards, and this same ticket would normally cost 42,500 miles. That works out to roughly a 53% discount.

Rather head to Europe instead? Through this promotion, you can fly from the U.S. to Helsinki starting at just 17,500 points, even if you're departing from the West Coast. For example, flights from San Francisco (SFO) to Helsinki (HEL) via Chicago (ORD) are pricing at 17,500 points plus about $19 in taxes and fees.
Ordinarily, this award would cost 35,000 points, so you're saving about 50%.

Even if the advertised 60% discount proves elusive, savings of 50% or more are still exceptional. And that's even more true if one of these destinations is already on your radar and you have flexibility to travel this spring.

Visit Two Destinations With One Discounted Award
Going to Vienna, Helsinki, or any of these destinations sounds excellent. Know what's even better? Visiting two places on a single award ticket.
We are big fans of Alaska Airlines Atmos Rewards. Its points are extremely valuable: AwardWallet users have averaged 2.21¢ per point in recent redemptions. If you're considering a discounted award ticket with this promotion, this deal can get even better.
That's because Alaska Airlines allows free stopovers on award tickets. For example, you could fly to Vienna and add a stopover in London or Madrid along the way, all on one award. Alaska permits one stopover of up to 14 days on one-way international itineraries. On round-trip international awards, you can include two stopovers, with one in each direction of travel.

Too bad Alaska does not offer seat upgrades on award tickets. Unless the seat is on American Airlines, in which case the upgrade is to Main Cabin Extra, not Business.
strangely, I cannot see any of the premium awards when I search
First time here. What’s up with the comments…are they always messed up?
Hey Mike! Could you elaborate what you mean about the comments? If this answers your question: AwardWallet moderates all comments. That’s because we get an extraordinary amount of spam links and phishing comments. Also, if you’re referencing seeing comments about older promotions, we update the posts with the latest promotion. That helps Google and readers know which page has the latest info on a topic (like this one about Alaska award discounts)
Hen’s teeth to find LAX – SYD in J for both sectors. Availability in J will show “mixed” cabin – longer flight in Y (coach) and shorter flight in J. so beware!
Ain’t that the truth? Frustrating how little availability there is between LAX-NAN in business class.
Thanks for getting the word out! I found the article just in time…
Wow! Another member joining the One World circle. I like this! This is a nice bonus for people who like to travel (like myself). I have to say though, 2000 points for 4 segments is not that great. 5000 points would be a better incentive for people to book their travel.
Not a ton of points, but a nice bonus if you happen to be making the flights anyway! It’s a shame it’s not valid on award travel though
This is a lot of flying for just 2000 points. Nice if you have trips scheduled anyway I guess, but certainly not something to go out of the way for.
Not the best offer for 2000 miles for 4 completed segments. Shopping portals offer similar bonuses during the holiday season.
To be very honest not a great promotion
only 2000. But then again, you cant’ pluck feathers from a chicken filled;)))
The offer is not impressive considering you have to take two Alaska and two AA flights. Hopefully better offer soon! But it is great news that Alaska just joined Oneworld.
Think the Register link is broken and need to be fixed!
Thanks for sharing though
Fixed. Thanks for the heads up. Here’s the link: https://www.alaskaair.com/promo/AS2103?int=AS_HomePage_SM%7C%7C20210406_AA2K%7C%7C-prodID:MPEnroll
Actually, you can register for this promo thru both Alaska airlines (earning 2k Alaska miles) and American Airlines (earning 2k Aadvantage miles). The Aadvantage promo may be targeted, but I got the email. I plan to take “advantage” of both promos, which will require 4 legs on Alaska flights (crediting two legs to Alaska and two to Aadvantage), and 4 legs on American (again, crediting two legs to Alaska and two to Aadvantage).
Wow, Alaska joining One World is excellent news. I can’t wait to fly them! Thanks for the update!
Pretty paltry bonus for taking 4 flights. Nothing to go out of your way for.
This is certainly a way to celebrate the newest addition to one world. I hope this will be a long and fruitful relationship.
