This flash sale has ended.
Delta has announced its latest SkyMiles award flash sale, and this month it is to select destinations in South America. Trips start from 36,000 miles round-trip and are valid on bookings in Main Cabin and Comfort+. If you like the sound of a trip to South America, you will have to hurry since the sale is only valid through March 14, 2018.
Terms And Conditions
The terms and conditions are straightforward (even if their award charts are not) as are all Delta flash sales:
- Bookings must be made by 23:59 ET March 14, 2018
- Travel period from August 15, to October 31, 2018
- Awards start at 36,000 SkyMiles round-trip, plus taxes and fees
- Awards are for Main Cabin and Comfort+ tickets
- Offer valid for flights departing from the contiguous 48 United States
What Destinations Are Included
The sale covers some major destinations in South America, including:
- Santiago, Chile (SCL)
- Quito, Ecuador (UIO)
- Lima, Peru (LIM)
- Buenos Aires, Argentina (EZE)
- Bogotá, Colombia (BOG)
- Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (GIG)
- São Paulo, Brazil (GRU)
- Cartagena, Colombia (CTG)
One point to remember is that you will still have to pay for fees and taxes; it is always best to try and pay for these using a credit card that comes with complimentary travel insurance. For instance, paying with your Chase Sapphire Reserve®, the Citi Prestige® Card, or the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card will mean you are covered for this trip.
The timing of this promo is quite handy, primarily since the latter part of the travel dates covers Spring’s full bloom in South America. So if you like to get away for a late fall break then why not head down to South America?
