Our Take
This is one of the better value sales Delta has offered to Europe. A similar promo from last year would set you back 99,000 SkyMiles, while one from earlier this year would set you back 110,000 SkyMiles to Europe. If you want to take advantage of this promo but are a few miles short, remember that Delta is a transfer partner of American Express Membership Rewards.

Does anyone have recent data points on the delta gold amex cc waiving the fee for the first checked bag? I thought it was linked to the primary card holders FF# and you didn’t need to purchase the tickets with the card. Upon closer review I’m seeing language where it says the purchase must be made with the card to waive the first checked bag.
You do not need to pay with the Delta credit card to receive the benefit. The only card that has such as requirement is with United.
I generally put value ahead of comfort, but this looks pretty good, and it’s a relatively long trip.
A sale is good and all but I’d rather Delta publish an actual award chart.
It was a good offer but the period (winter) is not the best.
can I pull the trigger? thinking….
Move quick, as tickets must be booked by TODAY!
But no more free checked bags in economy on DL to Europe
That information is incorrect. This limitation is only for basic economy fares ticketed after December 6, 2017. Main cabin fares/tickets still receive a complimentary checked bag: https://www.delta.com/content/www/en_US/traveling-with-us/baggage/before-your-trip/checked.html
Like many of the other posters, I am short many thousands of points to take advantage of this offer. I would like to try out the Delta One service so hopefully they will run it again sometime.
Wow, I’d better get my skates on, this offer is available for a very short period!
Just booked an award, thanks!
For those of you who go, enjoy!!!
I would love to experience Delta One to Europe. Unfortunately, I am short thousands of miles.
Don’t I wish I had sufficient FFM’s.
Never anything good with regards to London, even Gatwick, when it comes to most airlines — outside the low cost carriers.
this is an excellent use of Amex points also
this is a GREAT deal
Yup! As long as you can make it work for your plans.
Too bad my Delta account was mined down to the bone this year.
Thanks for the info! Looks great.
