Update: The World of Hyatt and Lindblad Expeditions partnership ended on December 31, 2023. Reservations booked in 2023 for 2024 will still earn Hyatt points and enjoy benefits. However, no further reservations will get the benefits of this partnership.
All good things must come to an end, and unfortunately, that includes a way to earn a boatload of Hyatt points. World of Hyatt and Lindblad Expeditions have mutually agreed to wind down their partnership effective December 31, 2023. However, you can still book sailings before then to earn Hyatt points on Lindblad voyages.
Here's what the end of the partnership means for prospective voyagers.
How World of Hyatt’s Partnership with Lindblad Works
Hyatt and Lindblad originally launched their partnership in 2019 — giving members unique access to land and sea adventures. But unfortunately, the partnership won't live to see 2024.
For those unfamiliar, Lindblad collaborates with National Geographic to operate adventure-focused cruises to some of Earth's most far-flung and exotic places like Antarctica and the Galapagos. And these expeditions aren't cheap, which is why the cruise operator's partnership with Hyatt was lucrative.

World of Hyatt members could earn the following on Lindblad trips booked through Hyatt:
- Earn five Base Points per $1 spent on everything except incidentals.
- Receive standard elite tier Bonus Points on eligible spending.
- Redeem World of Hyatt points for complimentary expeditions.
- Receive a $250 onboard credit for use during the expedition.
- Earn elite tier qualifying night credits for eligible nights on a cruise expedition.
Additionally, paying for cruises with the The World of Hyatt Credit Card would earn 4X World of Hyatt points per $1 spent — an identical return offered for spending at Hyatt hotels.
We reached out to Chase to confirm what will happen with these earnings, and a spokesperson confirmed that World of Hyatt co-branded cards will continue to earn on Lindblad trips at these elevated rates through June 1, 2024. After that, earning rates will become 1 point per $1 spent on Lindblad.
Lindblad trips regularly cost thousands of dollars, which means one booking could award tens of thousands of base points, potentially gifting World of Hyatt elite status — in some cases, upper-tier Globalist.

The partnership hasn't ended just yet
Through December 31, 2023, you can still make new Lindblad reservations through Hyatt channels — which include the dedicated website and Hyatt and Lindblad's respective contact centers.
All reservations made before the end of the year are eligible to earn World of Hyatt points, and any benefits will be honored. Just ensure your Hyatt number is added to your reservation when you book and you travel before the end of 2024.
The same goes for reservations made using World of Hyatt points. To see your benefits honored, all travel must be completed by December 31, 2024.
Final Thoughts
World of Hyatt's partnership with Lindblad Expeditions ends on December 31, 2023 — bringing a sad ending to a unique relationship. You can still book cruises through Hyatt channels to receive World of Hyatt benefits and earn points on your epic adventure, but you'll need to do so by the end of the year.
