Starting today, June 29, 2023, IHG One Rewards members now receive elite status benefits at participating Iberostar Beachfront Resorts properties — making Iberostar the latest hotel brand participating in IHG One Rewards.
However, not all properties are participating from the start. And not all IHG One Rewards perks are available from day one. Here are the details of what's included and not.
IHG One Rewards Benefits at Iberostar
Members will now receive the following befits when staying at Iberostar Beachfront Resorts:
- Early Check-in: Subject to availability for Platinum and Diamond members.
- Late Check-out: Available to all members up to 2 p.m., subject to availability.
- Guaranteed Room Availability: Available for Platinum and Diamond Elite members.
- Complimentary Upgrades: Subject to availability.
- Welcome Amenity at Check-in: Available for Platinum and Diamond Elite members.
- Platinum Elite members receive e $15 hotel credit or 600 IHG One Rewards points.
- Diamond Elite members receive e $20 hotel credit or 600 IHG One Rewards points.
- Priority Check-in: Available at all participating hotels.
- Free internet: for all IHG One Rewards members.
- Annual Lounge Membership: Available to one member and a registered guest.
IHG notes that reward night discounts, confirmable suite upgrades, and Food & Beverage Rewards will be available at Iberostar properties in the near future.
Participating Iberostar Properties
You can now leverage your IHG One Rewards benefits at any of the following participating properties worldwide. Most properties are in Spain. However, multiple properties are closer to the US — including in Mexico, Jamaica, The Dominican Republic, and Brazil.

IHG Status Through Credit Card Membership
Remember, you have other options other than nights in beds to earn IHG elite status. Both the IHG One Rewards Premier Credit Card and IHG One Rewards Premier Business Credit Card come with complimentary Platinum Elite status along with a host of other benefits. That way, you can receive all the befits of status without needing to stay as many times as the traditional route.

Our Take
Any time you get more options to leverage your elite status benefits, it is excellent news. And that is the case here. Couple that with Iberostar’s decent property footprint in Mexico and the Caribbean, and there is some great potential to be had with this new integration into the IHG One Rewards program.
