If you are a JetBlue credit card holder, you might have received an offer for a bonus of 5,000 TrueBlue points. This promotion is a quick and easy way to earn a chunk of points before the end of the year. Here's what to know and how to maximize the offer.

Book One Eligible JetBlue Flight, Get 5,000 Points

Select JetBlue credit card holders can receive a bonus of 5,000 TrueBlue points by booking an eligible flight with their JetBlue card. Unfortunately, this is a targeted promotion, so some cardholders won't receive the offer.

You can easily see if you are targeted for the offer by logging into your credit card account and visiting the “offers” section. You only have until August 29, 2025, to book your flight, and you must travel by November 19, 2025. If you're planning a last-minute fall getaway, this is the perfect way to score some bonus points.

Just make sure you book your flight using your JetBlue card. Once your flight is complete, your bonus points will be automatically deposited into your account.

AwardWallet users typically get a value of 1.24¢ per TrueBlue point, so this offer is worth approximately $60 towards award travel booked through JetBlue. To put that into perspective, you would earn almost enough points to book a one-way flight from Fort Lauderdale (FLL) to Medellin (MDE) this October. This flight would cost $118 when paying in cash, giving you a slightly higher valuation from your bonus miles.

It's not much, but it also takes minimal effort to earn. If you were already booking a JetBlue flight, you might as well score some extra points.

Which Cards Are Eligible for the Offer?

The 5,000-point bonus is an offer for JetBlue credit card holders, not just TrueBlue members. Luckily, it appears that cardholders of all four JetBlue co-branded credit cards might see this targeted offer in their account.

As a reminder, the JetBlue Card has a $0 annual fee and comes with basic benefits like 50% savings on in-flight purchases and bonus points on flights. The $99 annual fee JetBlue Plus Card is the better all-around option, offering a free checked bag, bonus points on your account anniversary, and more.

For the most loyal JetBlue flyers, the JetBlue Premier Card comes with up to $300 in statement credits on TrueBlue Travel purchases, access to Priority Pass Lounges, and an application fee credit for TSA PreCheck or Global Entry. Unfortunately, the earning potential is the same as the JetBlue Plus Card. For a card with a $499 annual fee, it would be nice to see more bonus earning categories.

Alternatively, the JetBlue Business Card is a great option for small business owners. It features a $99 in exchange for benefits like Group A boarding and bonus points on your account anniversary The best benefit is the opportunity to earn 6X points on JetBlue flights, JetBlue vacations, and TrueBlue Travel purchases.

Final Thoughts

Don't buy a flight you don't need just to earn 5,000 bonus points. However, if you were already planning on traveling with JetBlue this fall, you're in luck. Book your flight with your JetBlue card by August 29 so you can maximize your earnings. Plus, you can often find fantastic deals on JetBlue award flights. You might even be able to book a flight solely with your bonus miles.
