Once you've earned your welcome bonus, the card still has some staying power as an everyday card. While it doesn't beat out the best cards for everyday spending, it does offer pretty solid ongoing earnings:

Marriott Bonvoy Business Card Feature Benefits
The Marriott Bonvoy Business Card isn't a standout in most card lineups, but there are a few key features that set it apart. Perhaps the most important is that the 15 elite night credits offered by the card each year stack with the 15–25 elite night credits offered by personal Marriott Bonvoy credit cards. Why is this a big deal?
Those with the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless® Credit Card, for example, could start the year with 30 elite night credits — automatic Gold Elite status and just 20 nights shy of Platinum Elite status. Those with the Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card, however, could pair it with the Marriott Bonvoy Business Card to start the year with 40 elite night credits — just 10 nights shy of earning an Annual Choice Benefit and more than half-way to Titanium Elite status (at 75 nights), as well as holding Platinum Elite status.

Although Marriott Bonvoy offers multiple personal credit cards, none of their elite night credits stack. This feature is limited to holding the Marriott Bonvoy Business Card in addition to a personal card.
Another standout feature of the Marriott Bonvoy Business Card is the free night award you'll receive on each account anniversary. This award is valid for stays of up to 35,000 points, though you can top it off with up to 15,000 additional points if need be. Big spenders also can receive a second free night award after spending $60,000 in purchases in a calendar year. That award also is worth up to 35,000 points. The free night award easily can be redeemed for more than $125 in value — thus offsetting the annual fee with this benefit alone.
Finally, the card provides up to a 7% discount on room rates when paying cash and grants you automatic Gold Elite status as long as you're a cardholder. Benefits of Marriott Bonvoy Gold status include late checkout, complimentary room upgrades, and additional bonus points.
Who’s Eligible for the Marriott Bonvoy Business Card?
You'll need to have a business in order to be eligible for this card, though that moniker is easier to earn than you may expect. For example, selling items on eBay or renting out an apartment to tenants will both qualify you as a small business.
In terms of earning the welcome bonus, the restrictions are quite stiff. You'll need to examine which Marriott and SPG credit cards you have, had in the past, and which bonuses you've earned (and when!) to understand your eligibility.
The rules will apply based on cards you've had in the last 30 days, cards you've opened in the last 90 days, and those where you've earned a bonus in the past 24 months.

- You can hold a maximum of five Amex credit cards at a time.

Although needing to spend $8,000 to earn a single welcome bonus is a big request, you do have six months to make it happen. As it stands, the Marriott Bonvoy Business Card is a great one to keep in your wallet; the benefits it confers more than outweigh the $125 annual fee. If you've had your eye on this card, applying during the elevated welcome offer period could land you 125,000 bonus points. The offer is available through November 1, 2023.
