Cruise with Points — Marriott’s cruise booking portal — is offering triple points on cruises booked by March 11, 2025. That means Marriott Bonvoy members can earn up to 9X points on a 3+ night sailing in a balcony or suite stateroom — or up to 11X points when paying with a Marriott co-branded credit card.
Here are the details of this promotion.
What is Marriott Cruise with Points?
Marriott's portal for booking cruises is called Cruise with Points. The portal includes all major cruise lines and offers essentially the same pricing and deals as any other booking site — nearly all of which are operated by World Travel Holdings. Members can either use cash or Marriott points to book the cruise.
Nowadays, booking a cruise without earning thousands of points in your favorite loyalty program is a missed opportunity. Several airlines and credit cards have a cruise booking portal, such as American Airlines, Delta, United, Virgin, Amex, Capital One, Citi, and Chase.
Unless you count Virgin, Marriott is the one hotel program with which you can use points to book a cruise. From time to time, you can also earn a large chunk of bonus Marriott points on your cruise — like right now.
Earn Up to 11X Bonvoy Points with Marriott Cruise with Points Promotion
Marriott's Cruise with Points annual promotion to earn triple points is back for 2025.
Typically, members earn 3X Bonvoy points per dollar spent on cruises booked through Cruise with Points. Through March 11, 2025, Bonvoy members can earn triple points on balconies and suite staterooms with sailings of three or more nights. That's 9X points per dollar instead of 3X.

Marriott is advertising the ability to book cruises for as little as $213 and get up to $500 to spend onboard, as well as free drinks, gratuities, Wi-Fi, and more.

Furthermore, most Marriott credit cards earn 2X points on non-bonused spending. That means you can earn up to 11X points per dollar with this promotion when using a Marriott credit card.
Only bookings of three or more nights qualify for this promotion. Eligible cruise departures are any time before December 31, 2025. Members using points to book a portion of the cruise will earn bonus points on the portion of the payment made in cash. And inside or oceanview staterooms will continue to earn the regular rate of 3X points.

Redeem Marriott Bonvoy Points for Cruises
Bonvoy members can also use their points, or a combination of points and cash, to book a cruise. As long as you redeem at least 125,000 points, the redemption rate is 250 points to $1. That's a pitiful redemption rate of 0.4¢ per Bonvoy point — less than half of the 0.94¢ per point average redemption rate that AwardWallet users get from Marriott points.
But, if you have endless Marriott points and don't want to transfer them to Marriott's airline partners, you can redeem 1,250,000 points for a $5,000 certificate — or redeem as many points as needed to get a free cruise certificate.

To get a 100% free cruise certificate, Bonvoy members must redeem enough cruise certificates to cover all cruise fares, taxes, and fees for each guest in the reserved stateroom.
This offer is only available when calling Marriott Cruises directly at 800-596-0452. The lines are open Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. EST.
Our Take
If you're a Marriott Bonvoy member planning to book a cruise, this promotion is typically the best one we see each year. Just make sure to book by March 11, 2025, and use a Marriott credit card to get the best rewards.
As AwardWallet users redeem Marriott points on average at 0.94¢ each, you can get more than a 10% return on spending on your cruise through this promotion — assuming you book in time and pay with a Marriott co-branded credit card.
