Marriott International has some news: You can now earn points on stays with two of its newest brands, bank Elite Night Credits, and enjoy an Elite Welcome Gift.
Here's what you need to know about the valuable updates Marriott is making to its Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy and Four Points Express by Sheraton brands.
Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy
Creatively designed apartment-style properties that sit at the corner of luxury and extended stay, the Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy brand is finally getting the love it deserves. It's becoming a full-fledged participant in the Marriott Bonvoy program.
Introduced a year ago, these properties debuted without awarding Marriott Bonvoy members for their stays, but this is now changing.

Starting today, Marriott Bonvoy members can earn points and Elite Night Credits on stays — to the tune of five base points per dollar spent and one Elite Night Credit for each night booked. And as a refresher, those with elite status also get bonus points on top of the five base points:
- Silver Elite: 10% bonus
- Gold Elite: 25% bonus
- Platinum Elite: 50% bonus
- Titanium & Ambassador Elite: 75% bonus
Additionally, Marriott is introducing Elite Welcome Gifts to the brand: 500 Bonvoy points per stay for Gold Elite members and 1,000 points for Platinum and above.
If you've elected to earn airline miles instead of Bonvoy points, Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy will also honor this conversion, which is a nice value add if you're not fond of collecting Bonvoy points.
Marriott is also including Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy in the program's Ultimate Reservation Guarantee and ensuring Guaranteed Room Type. These benefits keep you covered in case Marriott isn't able to honor your reservation or uphold other guarantees it's made to you.
And to round out the updates to this specific brand, Platinum Elite members and above will receive a guaranteed late checkout of 2 p.m., with the ability to request a 4 p.m. late checkout, subject to availability. That's a great pickup if you've got a late departure and nowhere to go beforehand.

Four Points Express by Sheraton
Marriott International is also showing similar love to one of its other newest brands, Four Points Express by Sheraton.
Launched this past September, Four Points Express by Sheraton is slowly becoming a larger midscale presence in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Although the brand has technically been a part of Marriott Bonvoy since its inception, it wasn't until today that we learned how Bonvoy members would earn points for paid reservations.

For stays at Four Points Express properties, members will now earn five base points for each U.S. spent. These earning rates align with properties like Protea Hotels, TownePlace Suites, and City Express.
Marriott Bonvoy members will also earn one Elite Night Credit for every two qualifying nights they spend at a Four Points Express property. And if you're a Platinum, Titanium, or Ambassador Elite, you'll have a choice of daily complimentary breakfast for two or 500 bonus points per stay as your Elite Welcome Gift.
While simple, Marriott's updates to the Four Points Express brand will make your next visit to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa more comfortable and rewarding.
Bottom Line
Marriott International has made some adjustments to its Apartments by Marriott Bonvoy and Four Points Express brands — outlining earning rates and elite perks. The introduction of points-earning, Elite Night Credits, and Elite Welcome Gifts are nice additions and are sure to make your next stay at these properties substantially more rewarding.
