But did you know that AwardWallet has its own rewards program? Users earn AwardWallet Bonus points by referring friends, family, and even strangers to the site. Read more about the details of the award program tracker's award program below.

How Many Bonus Points Do You Earn With an AwardWallet Referral?

Referral bonus points are earned when you refer someone to AwardWallet and they sign up for an AwardWallet Plus account. You'll earn 15 Bonus points for every dollar paid by the referred user for an AwardWallet subscription or other paid product. Seeing different values when going to redeem AwardWallet Bonus points? That's because we periodically update our redemption rates to factor in buy points promotions.

Which AwardWallet Bonus redemptions are best?

From the chart above, a couple of items stand out. First, the ratios and redemption points aren't the same for all programs. That's because the number of AwardWallet Bonus points required is based on the purchase price of the points you're receiving.

Second, you'll need more successful referrals to earn enough points for redemptions in some programs than others. That's because some programs require a larger purchase amount.

One of the easiest programs to redeem for is Hilton Honors, requiring just 1,000 AwardWallet Bonus points. Meanwhile, redeeming AwardWallet points for United requires 3,763 Bonus points — requiring more than 5 AwardWallet Plus subscription referrals.

Factoring in AwardWallet Bonus redemption rates and AwardWallet user average redemption values, the best options are currently Wyndham Rewards (approximately $12.80 in value received per AwardWallet Plus referral) and World of Hyatt ($10.95 in value per Plus referral).

Example Redemptions

While the hypothetical redemptions are endless, some practical redemption options help illustrate just how rewarding AwardWallet's referral bonuses can be.

Hyatt stays

Following the Hyatt Category 1 off-peak redemption option from above, let's put that into action. Consider a stay in December 2025 at the Grand Hyatt Amman, in Jordan. A standard room, off-peak award at this Category 1 property costs 3,500 points.

Paying cash for the same room on the same day costs upwards of $197!

This translates to a redemption value of over 5.6¢ per Hyatt point — an incredible use of points.

It takes just five AwardWallet premium subscription referrals to earn enough Hyatt points for this redemption. That means each referral would translate to over $39 in value in this scenario!

Southwest Airlines flights

Airline redemptions might not provide the chance at outsized value that Hyatt redemptions might offer. However, they might be a bit more practical or realistic, depending on travel plans.

For instance, Southwest offers a wide array of flights within the United States and to nearby international destinations. Among these route options are intra-island flights within Hawai'i. Hawaiian Airlines serves the same routes several times each day, and the one-way cost on either carrier seldom rises into triple digits. While the options on Southwest might be much less frequent, those who have a Southwest credit card get a free checked bag, which might come in handy for travelers on vacation in Hawai'i.

For instance, a one-way flight between Maui and Kona costs $60 later this year in November:

Booking the same flight as an award costs just 5,000 Southwest Rapid Rewards points:

Although the implied redemption value of under 1.2 cents per point does not stand out, this award requires so few points that it becomes interesting.

However, due to minimum redemption values, you'd need to generate 12 AwardWallet referral bonuses to get the points to redeem for this flight. That translates to just $5 in value per referral.

Why Travelers Should Use AwardWallet

AwardWallet offers all kinds of travelers various benefits — whether you use the free version or upgrade to AwardWallet Plus. Many features center around award travel, though not all. See a detailed list of site features (also accessible via the site FAQ) below:

Additionally, AwardWallet allows users to track passport expiration dates. Nothing derails international travel plans quicker than realizing your passport will expire just before (or during!) your next trip. The tracking and notification system from AwardWallet helps prevent that from becoming an issue not just for you but also your family members.

Plus, for just $49.99/year (that works out to around $4/month), you'll unlock or expand a number of features. For example, you can track an unlimited number of expiration dates for points and miles. You can only track up to three account expiration dates if you're on a free account. In particular, users with a multitude of rewards accounts who also track accounts for family members stand to benefit greatly from a premium account and its ability to “update all accounts” at 5x the speed.

Final Thoughts

AwardWallet provides great value to its users, simplifying the cumbersome activity of keeping track of rewards balances, tracking free night expiry dates, creating a timeline for your upcoming travel bookings, and more. It can also bring additional value to users in the form of referrals. Referral links are easy to create and send, and the person you refer can reap the benefits of AwardWallet’s offerings. In turn, you can convert AwardWallet bonus points to hotel points or airline miles to use toward your next redemption!

AwardWallet Tip of The Day
You can choose to store all of your loyalty account passwords locally on your device, instead of storing them in our secure database. If you choose this option, you can (and should) periodically back them up into a file. In the event that you delete your cookies, these passwords will be deleted. With a proper backup, you'd be able to safely restore from that backup file.
